Bassano Club House

Great location a few steps from the Pinte Vecchio. This is a nice hotel with modern facilities and it seems to cater to the cycling crowd. The bar on location is very popular with the local cyclists. The room is large and has sufficient table surfaces for placing your important stuff. It has great electric connections on each side of the bed for your chargers. We visited in August when the days were very hot and the A/C worked well. The pillows were nice and fluffy. The bathroom was well set up and functional. The hotel has a large patio/garden shared with the bar which caters to cyclists like us. We secured our bikes in a covered section of the patio, next to the elevator and stairs to our room. We would stay here again.

The hotel door is hard to find!!! There is a tiny sign next to closed doors. There is no staff on location, no Reception. The hotel sent me a text by Whatsapp with instructions on how to get in using a code on the pin pad. On arrival, we brought our bikes in through the bar. A nice young bartender helped me brung my bike up a few steps and to the location where we secured them and connected the battery chargers. However, when we departed on Monday at 8 am, the bar was closed and the hotel front door is a two-leaf door where only one opens and the opening is too narrow for a bike. I am 70 years old and had to climb precariously up on a bar stool to reach the latch way up high to unlock the second leaf to get our bikes out. Hey!!!! How about some common sense here? Please replaces that door! And make a bigger, more visible sign outside!

I do not usually post reviews, however feel compelled to do so in this case. BCH fell short of what we anticipated. We felt overall like an inconvenience to most staff (one superstar named Ben was a breath of fresh air; he was friendly, communicated well, helped us with our questions). All others seemed unhappy, distracted and disengaged. We cannot say we enjoyed our stay overall, despite great location, nice facilities and concept.
