Disappointing

The apartment is spacious, immaculately clean and beautifully furnished. Kitchen appliances are high quality, there is a lovely big shower. Plenty of hot water, comfy beds and good wifi.

Poor communication over check in. We tried to phone the host three times on arrival day but got no reply. We sent a message through booking.com on arrival but received no response till the following day. We were only able to access the apartment because of the helpfulness of guests staying in one of the other apartments. The terrace is not a particularly inviting space, no instructions for the hot tub so we did not use it. Minimal provision of glasses, china, cooking utensils and coathangers. It’s a shame, the apartment has a lot going for it and with a bit more attention to detail would score much higher.

The accommodation was disappointing and we would not stay here again

The location was a bit further from town than we expected but was in easy driving distance from the main hub of Hermanus. Hermanus itself is beautiful.

On our arrival the room we booked was not available and we were down graded without much explanation or apology. We moved to the better room the next day but despite being assured that we would be helped with our luggage no help was offered at the time of moving. A refund for the 1st night was not offered and was only processed after I requested it. Both rooms smelt musty and were inundated with mosquitos. There is no air conditioning and this is really needed in December.

A great place all round.

The location was highly convenient for the Hermanus Mediclinic, in that it is only a couple of blocks away. The shaded carport for the car was also very welcome. The entire flat was so well appointed and extremely comfortable.

Nothing really. The few small things that didn't work did not detract from the overall impression.

No dishwasher. Table inconviniently small for taking meals. Smoke from neighbors wooden heating annoying from 7 to 9pm, i.e. all evening, opening windows to dissipate the day’s heat from the room then impossible

What a disappointment of a place!!!

The bed was spacious & there's always hot water

We didn't have TV for the duration of our 3 day stay, Tanja promised to send someone to fix it the same day we checked in & we reported it but no one showed up. Clearly the TV isn't working at all & she was aware of it. WiFi is extremely slow, it takes about 5 min to watch a 30 second video. On top of that you have to call & request the WiFi password opposed to just find it in the room waiting like all guesthouses. No cleaning stuff like a broom or a mop in case of spillages or needing to sweep yet you're expected to keep the place clean as there's no cleaning lady on the premises. I mistakenly spilled water on the floor & had to use a tissue to clean, the dirt that was on the tissue looked blackish which means floors are not cleaned before you check in.

It was not properly cleaned. There was old pee on the toilet seat. And this place charges a cleaning fee over and above the rate so I expected more on the cleanliness front.

Location . secure parking. security.

No streaming as advertised ( such as netflix ). Dirty freezer. One frypan nothing else for self catering. No comfortable chairs to relax in. The toilet kept running. DSTV select channels only No hair dryer as advertised. Dishcloths were filthy. Salt cellar rusty. Bathroom mirror stuck to window, so unable to close blinds. Kitchen drawers needed a good clean. Mould inside the shower grouting. Rude agent when confronted. All our requests were ignored.

Exactly what we needed quiet, cozy, and relaxing

The place was very clean and well maintained, with everything we needed for a relaxed weekend away. It’s conveniently located close to shops, restaurants, and all the best that Hermanus has to offer. The hot tub was definitely the highlight of our trip the perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring. Most importantly, it was peaceful and quiet, exactly what we were looking for. Although we didn’t meet Tanja in person, she was kind and helpful throughout our WhatsApp chats and phone call. It’s clear she’s a lovely and thoughtful host. Highly recommended! Highly recommended!

A hospedagem é bastante ampla, com cozinha completa, ar condicionado, aquecedor na sala. A máquina de lavar e secar no quarto não estava funcionando, mas conseguimos utilizar as instalações da área comum e atendeu a necessidade. O único problema foi o wi-fi que não funcionou, mas acredito que tenha sido um problema do provedor, pois no dia seguinte que estávamos indo embora o mesmo voltou a funcionar.

De betaling is vreselijk verlopen. Konden niet met kredietkaart via booking.com betalen. Betaald via overschrijving maar die vonden ze niet terug. Echt een ramp. Ook heel slecht geslapen door muggen en niet goed geïsoleerd dus gehorig. Zeker geen aanrader. Want maand voordien betaald en zouden al het geld kwijt zijn geweest als we niet konden gaan. En terwijl ik betaald had aangemaand geworden doordat ze zelf niet konden vinden dat het geld binnen was gekomen. Echt voordien had ik er al geen zin meer in om er naar toe te gaan.
