Incredible views in Hermanus!

Incredible window view! Easy drive to town and a beautiful apartment. The staff could not have been nicer. We liked that the toilet and shower were separate rooms. The kitchen is big and had everything we needed.

The rooms needed fans. There are lots of windows, but it was quite hot at night and we had mosquitoes biting when we opened the windows to cool it down. Window screens for the bedrooms might also help. The bathroom is a bit cramped but fine for a few days’ stay.

Good and bad things about this one.

Loved the window which opens to the sea and the bed was super comfy

There are NO fans and no aircon so it is stuffy and hot at night. In the day we opened the huge windows. Also there is a faint smell of dampness which was annoying. It didn’t say it was so very close to a location and Abalone plant. Which didn’t matter, but made us uneasy at the start.

Having booked and stayed at numerous airbnb apartments all over Cape Town......this one stands out as one of the best for sure. From the moment we were met outside to collect the keys.... the stunning view of the ocean as you walk into the apartment and literally every thing you could need was there as part of the booking. Even small things like nespresso coffee.... milk.....teas etc made such a difference. The kitchen was fully stocked with every utensil you could possibly need. The location of the apartment is perfect in that it's not too close to the central strip but still easy to get to, a 3 min uber (R40). We went during whale season, so the added boost of seeing so many whales just made this place a must visit.

We had a very short trip but would have struggled if it was a longer trip.

Clean and had all the basic facilities

Very close to informal housing but sufficient security to feel safe. There was no air conditioning for a cold weekend. There was just one very small heater. The shower area is very cramped and the extractor fan does not do well to eliminate moisture. There are no bathroom windows. It was too cold to open lounge windows since there was no way to heat up the room without air conditioning. Beds in the second room were not of good quality

We made most our trip, and visited the surrounding areas, and went to market,

Kids loved the pool area, with braai setup. We also enjoyed the walk by the beach in the morning. The view looking down at the sea was beautiful.

Had an unpleasant and cold experiment with the Lady that we met at the security gate, Chane. If we were going to get our refund money we would've turn back. It started when I first communicated with her on watssup, my mistake was not to introduce myself as guest and I wanted to enquire about some stuff during our stay, got a cold response from her and I immediately apologized to her for not introducing myself. Nevertheless following day we dove to the place, I think we missed a turn but we were close to the estate, so I called Chane and she was no help at all and to top it she dropped the call while I was still talking, we managed to get there, we met at the security. Then she asked us about our booking and the Ref number( I don't even recall her greeting us), which I didn't have because we communicated a day before so I didn't think we would need it, anyway eventually she phoned Erica and she got our booking information from her. There was no apology from her(Chane), she just said she didn't know about our booking( mind you, again I had contacted her previous day). Anyway she took us to the room, it was smelling dust, fridge was empty, not even water, there was coffee and tea but no milk. No shower gel, even small bottle. The place is next to the sea and the views are spectacular, But the whole experience with the host Chane, left a bitter taste! Could never understand how you treat your guest like that.

Great apartment and estate. Very quiet and peaceful. But they let themselves down on some basics.

The apartment and estate are lovely and we loved the sea view and being able to walk down to the rocks to watch the waves crashing. The apartment is nicely furnished and contains pretty much everything you need other than a washing machine. The estate was very quiet and peaceful.

We like to walk and I booked this because it was walkable into Hermanus town. However there are a couple massive fish factories next to the estate and the stink was really bad walking past these so we only did the walk once and got an Uber back. If you're travelling saffa style - ie the car is king and you do everything in the car - then this place is perfect for you. If you want to be able to also walk into town then you'd be better booking closer to town. Also it wouldn't have killed them to provide a free bottle of water upon check-in or let us know when load shedding was scheduled rather than we just realise there's no electricity.

Beautiful apartment with everything in it, close to the sea. We enjoyed our stay.

Everything about the property, it’s very neat and clean same as the picture.

We arrived on Friday just before 20H00 and had booked till Sunday, saw the notice at the exit beside the door that read “check out time is strictly 10 o’clock”, then on Saturday morning I received a reminder message for check out time for Sunday. It’s annoying, like they getting rid of you before you could even stay.

Amazing Amazing Amazing!!!

The views are amazing!! Saw whales and dolphins from the comfort of the window seating!!! The unit were of a very good size. The bed was very comfortable and the shower is lovely and strong, would recommend a squigy to wipe the shower screen after every shower😋. There is everything you will need from pots, pans, kettle, cooker, oven, microwave etc. The spareroom is of a lovely size as well with two neatly made single beds. The decor is very cute. Chané that checked us in is very friendly and helpful.Highly recommended!!
