Great weekend escape

A perfect getaway for 3 friends who needed a break and to reconnect. The jacuzzi was a winner.....hours spent in it, talking, relaxing, listening to music and just having a great time. The unit was spotless, well equipped and the air-con in the lounge perfect after a long hot day.

Only thing we fcould failt and found a bit overwhelming was the Glade urinal block placed on the TV cabinet that was quite strong smelling when we arrived.

Very dirty and dead insects and ants all over the walls by ac, the wall splitting the back from the main house is to low, thus means you dont really feel private at all

The owner, Odette is absolutely fantastic. Couldn't have asked for a better hostess. Jacuzzi was brilliant. Everything was there that you might need for your stay. Very convenient shops close by. Even a pharmacy for when you need After Burn because you were too long in the jacuzzi. (I blame the Jameson) Bedding and beds was excellent. The aircon is very convenient aswell if you're not climatized to the summers here. Fan in every room as well. The under roof bbq area also has everything you need. Will most definitely be back.

It is somewhat conveniently located near the ocean and Hermanus itself is a beautiful place to be. The accommodation is well stocked if you are wanting a self-catering option.

We were forewarned about the jacuzzi being filled from a natural source and that the water would not be clear. However the water was brown/green and slimy so I kind of convinced myself that it was like sitting in a river? My body had pieces of scum clinging to it when I got out that was very off putting. The jacuzzi was the selling point for us so if I had known it was that dirty I would have looked elsewhere (the pictures online don’t depict the level of green it was) The flatlet itself was in need of a deep clean, there was mold on the walls behind the beds and on the net curtains. The fan next to the bed was caked in dust. It’s also not a very peaceful option. There was a dog barking quite a bit and a very rowdy party and a full blown screaming match going on that woke me up multiple times during the night. Alas, I can’t recommend this venue.

Driveway was not accessible. We could not get out of vehicle when parking in driveway. Jacuzzi didn't work as stated. Host did not make an effort to attend to our complaint. This place was in the back of the property and we where not aware of that. Host could've been more professional. I won't recommend this accommodation to anyone.

Good place for a night or two but not for an extended stay.

Courtyard with braai facilities and 4 seater jacuzzi. Comfortable beds. Washing machine was a plus.

Although close to the beach, it's not a blue flag beach. No swimming and very rocky. Need to drive a few km's to get to a good beach. No blinds or curtain to cover the glass front door or the bathroom window - feels you have no privacy. Next door neighbour and the people busy building next to them can see directly inside the kitchen. The bathroom has a frosted glass but you can still see from the outside in at night when the light is on. The place wasn't as clean as I'd expect - all the dishes, cutlery, crockery and pots are in need of a thorough washing. Guests are required to wash and pack away dishes upon departure, I'm sure some guests don't bother to wash properly. Maybe have the cleaner double check the cleanliness and not assume everything is clean just because it's in the cupboard. Parking relatively far away from the cottage, very narrow driveway as well.

Convenient, location and equipped!

Bit too much furniture making it cramped sometimes but,nice to have space to unpack and sort out. Beautifully equipped kitchen and catering facilities. Jacuzzi a bonus if you like jacuzzis as I don’t. 😁. Unless I can clean and refill first. Overall great and I will return!

A quaint, comfortable and pleasantly surprising spacious cottage

The privacy of the cottage. The outside entertainment space was spacious and the cottage was well equipped for all comfort. The hot tub was the highlight of our evening to soak and relax under the stars.

Lovely space outside to braai. Not impacted by loadshedding, tv, lights etc all worked as they have solar. Enjoyed the Jacuzzi. Close to mall, wine farms and Hermanus central.

Relaxing and fun filled stay.

Obviously the jacuzzi and barbecue facilities were awesome. Great water pressure on shower. Loadshedding did not bother at all, as there was serious money spend on inverter system and gas function. Quiet and very friendly neighborhood, close to beach.

the hot tub was amazing! Cottage was clean and tidy.

the geyser switch was NOT turned on, which left us switching it on and waiting for the water to warm up. the main bedroom bed was very uncomfortable as the springs hurt while we slept. the kitchen sink is in a awkward place to do dishes. the shower need a non stick mat, as the bath tub was slippery while showering.

Fun in the sun

Loved the Jacuzzi ( spent a full day in it ) was super relaxing and had great fun.. bbq facilities was more than enough.. had great rest on a comfortable bed
