An amazing little place with high comfort and a very relaxing atmosphere.

The host was really friendly, very chatty and made us feel welcome and comfortable from the start to the end. The host recommended places for us to eat and the best places that we could visit if we wanted to go out and we were presented with a complimentary bottle of wine and a fridge full of snacks etc. Even though the property is in the back garden, you still have your privacy and aren't disturbed. I'd definitely recommend staying here for a little getaway.

Clean, cosy, well equipped place

Amazing place on the national cycle network (NCN route 62), so we got to cycle from the Peak District to the beach staying here. Very welcoming host, who surprised us with so much food and drink in the hideaway! Thank you for a great stay - perfect place to relax after a 12hr cycle, and only a short cycle for a morning sea swim

Highly recommended for a special stay.

Absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish! We booked the night before and everything was ready and of very high quality. Terry was in touch before our visit and offered to pick us up, which was very welcoming, although the property is only a 20 minute walk from Ainsdale centre. Lots to explore in the area. Some great restaurants and bars, but we were also very happy relaxing in the Hideaway. It has everything you could need, including beers in the fridge, a nice bottle of red for my wife’s birthday, chocolate, crisps, crumpets, bread, milk etc. Terry had thought of everything! He was always on hand and in touch throughout our stay and we also got a lift back to the station. Extremely clean, quiet and comfy. Highly recommend for a special stay!

I loved how clean the property was, the flowers and fruit tress were a lovely addition to terrys wonderful home. I really liked that Terry had thought about tourists with his bar and food recommendations.

Excellent venue

The place we found very clean and well presented, with snacks out on the work tops and butter and milk in the fridge. We were well placed for our event venue we went to which was ideal. It's only a short walk also to the beach if you like walk along there. And last but not least the owner Terry is a lovely friendly guy who can't do enough to make your stay even better. We will be staying again at a later date. We'll done to Terry and his wife at making us feel very comfortable....

Exceptional property with amazing hosts.

The Hideaway is a small but perfectly equipped with everything you could possibly require. The annex is set in a beautiful court yard garden, surrounded with flowers in a very quiet location. The property was spotlessly clean, well furnished and contained lots of extras. Terry and his partner are exceptional, considerate hosts, who couldn’t do enough for us. I would strongly recommend this property to anyone wanting to visit surrounding areas including Liverpool which is easily accessible from Ainsdale.

Short but sweet!

We only stayed for a night and as we had family in the area we spent most of our time with them. However, it was a really handy location and Terry was an exceptional host, very welcoming, genuinely enthusiastic and very keen for us to enjoy our stay. Nothing was too much trouble. The accommodation is spacious, very clean and very comfortable with all the mod cons including wifi and is situated in a large garden in a very quiet residential area which suited us perfectly.

Amazing accommodation and even better hosts

Terry and his wife are probably the most warm and welcoming hosts I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. They met me in person to provide the keys and access, not only are they super friendly they are also extremely generous. After a long chat about why I was working in the area they discovered I had worked a long 14 hour day and in the blazing sun and hadn't had time to eat, Terrys wife secretly made me a beautiful Thai meal which Terry brought down along with a couple of cold beers. Overwhelmed with their kindness. Would not hesitate to stay here again, facilities are fantastic, clean and comfortable and would recommend this place without hesitation.

Sparkling diamond of holiday lets.

From the moment you arrive until you leave to go home, you are catered for. The property itself is clean, fresh and modern. (If you are tall you may have issues with the bedroom ceiling height). Everything you need is provided, even extras such as booze, crumpets and so on in the fridge & freezer. You are left alone to do what ever you need to do. In the week you get a message asking if anything needs topping up such as tea/coffee. Netflix all set up on TV and logged into the hosts account. Food was even offered. Definitely one of the rarer gems out there. Don't be afraid to book.

My host, Terry, had supplied several grocery items and a bottle of wine in the fridge. This was great as I arrived late into Ainsdale.

I found the heaters extremely difficult to operate, and it was cool in the evenings. And anyone looking for a "Hideaway" should note that the friendly owner lives only a few strides away from the cottage.

Lovely bungalow, with a perfect host in an ideal spot from which to explore Ainsdale and Formby.

We loved the location. Perfect for what we wanted to do. It was self contained but the host was on hand in case we needed anything. He couldn't have been more welcoming. The bungalow is beautifully appointed and maintained with everything you need for a couple of nights away. Communication beforehand, throughout and after our stay was excellent.

The apartment was spotless, very comfortable and well-equipped, and in a very peaceful residential location. The hosts were extremely welcoming and helpful and really went above and beyond in their hospitality, offering lifts, the use of a bike to get to the beach, and complimentary food and drinks.

Every thing the property was as shown on Booking.com the fridge was stocked with milk,butter,drinks,fruit and chocolate biscuits. Our host Terry showed us were everything was and told us to call should we require anything at all. we had a wonderful time for us to go down memory lane we would highly recommend this accommodation to any one as it was of a very high standard

During my recent one-night stay at The Hideaway in Ainsdale, I was thoroughly impressed by the exceptional hospitality, comfortable accommodations, and thoughtful amenities. It was a very cosy place and perfect to enjoy a nice evening. Warm and Welcoming Host Terry, the host, was absolutely fantastic. From the moment I arrived, he made me feel right at home with his warmth and kindness. He went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. What made the experience even more special was how he shared so much of his unique life experiences—thought-provoking, entertaining, and truly inspiring. His stories added an extra layer of charm to an already wonderful stay. Comfortable and Well-Appointed Accommodation The apartment itself is a cozy one-bedroom unit, featuring a comfortable double bed, a modern bathroom with a shower, and a well-equipped kitchenette with a refrigerator, kitchenware, and coffee/tea-making facilities. The flat-screen TV and garden view create a relaxing atmosphere. The free Wi-Fi and parking made for a hassle-free experience. Final Thoughts My stay at The Hideaway was truly memorable. The combination of Terry’s incredible hospitality, the comfortable and well-equipped accommodation, and the beautiful, peaceful setting made it a perfect getaway. Amazing Stay- Perfect Accomodation. Wish we booked longer!

Wow! There was so much to offer at this lovely little, but cosy, apartment. Car parking is excellent. We parked our car on the drive just next door, and the gentleman helped us park with maximum CCTV coverage on the car. This put us really at ease! Upon arrival, we met the lovely Terry who lived up to every expectation we had of him due to the previous reviews he had featured in already. Terry was a great helping hand and showed us around very personally. He took notes of hobbies and interests and engaged in conversation giving an extensive wealth of knowledge surrounding all the good stuff; food and drink in the local area. Terry asked what we would be doing that night and we decided a quiet night in (due to the chaos of Christmas taking it out of us!) and so he surprised us with a lovely bottle of red wine! This went absolutely perfectly with my Chinese. The property is very warm and homely and has a few added extras in the cupboards like pot noodles, soups and cereals to keep you going. Really lovely small touches. My partner and I have stayed in many properties, but very few went above and beyond like this one. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the shower was a perfect temperature in the morning. It really doesn’t get much better than this property. This property is just 15 minutes away from Southport, and around a three minute drive to the next little village, Ainsdale. Tipple bar, and resturant is a must do. We headed there for breakfast and it was perfect. Cheap and amazing food. Thank-you so much Terry, we haven’t stopped talking about the property since we returned home. We will look forward to seeing you again soon for our next Southport adventure!

A gem of a find

A gem of a find. Self contained tiny yet spacious apartment with everything you could need. We had a brief overnight stop but would be happy to book again and stay longer. Spotlessly clean and good decor throughout. Comfortable bed, electric heaters which we could control! Sweets, biscuits, bread, butter, jam, honey, beers and cereals all provided along with the usual tea and coffee. A lot of thought and consideration has gone into this apartment. We loved it. And the bonus...not too far from the sea and sand dunes
