Good value for money based on 6 people and location was brill. In need of a deep clean.

It was spacious and a great location

There was an overwhelming smell of dogs when we arrived, lots of dog hairs on the sofa and stains. We would have happily cleaned ourselves but all equipment was locked away. We did purchase some air freshener whilst there which helped. Also quite a lot of cobwebs around the property. Dog poo in the drive before we arrived.

Comfy break in a nice location

It was in an excellent location, close to the town centre. The property was spacious and had everything needed.

There was quite a bit of dust and the boiler was rather noisy.

The boiler is very noisy and on occasion makes very loud knocking noises ~ we would have welcomed instructions as it was also difficult to regulate the temperature- it would be good to have oven gloves and shower gel in addition to the soap provided

Lovely relaxing break

Lovely little holiday let tucked away in a quiet area but just a short walk to all the amenities in Southport. We had everything we needed the house was very comfortable and we could relax immediately. The property was very clean and comfortable for our short stay with our two little dogs. The back yard is completely enclosed so safe for the dogs to roam.

We found it a little tricky to find with the postcode provided maybe a few more details as if you arrived at night it could make it quite difficult to find. The slats on the bed in the back bedroom come loose it looks like the under bed frame has been bent at some point so the slats come loose very easily.

Comfortable and clean stay with everything we needed in a good location

Very quiet location yet walkable to the park and sea front. Good parking availability on the drive. Well appointed kitchen and bathroom.

Would have benefitted from a Visitor's Handbook to consult on arrival. And very minor - a hairdryer would have been helpful.

Great location but needed some TLC.

The property itself was ideal for us in terms of size and location. Only a 10 min walk to the pier. The garden was just what we needed as we had a dog with us and needed an enclosed garden. The shower was great too.

There were a few things that niggled at us during our stay and I hate writing complaints. We stayed 2 nights and the beds were incredibly uncomfortable. We got the glasses, mugs and pans out in the morning to make breakfast and everything needed washing. Glasses & mugs were covered in a layer of dust and the pans were slimey like they hadn’t been washed properly from their last use. There was also a light fitting in the living room that was dangerous. It had wires hanging out of it as there was no fitting on it. I wouldn’t have thought anything of it but my husband is an electrician and he said that on an inspection, it would be deemed as a danger to life so we didn’t use the lights in the living room for this reason. When you walked in to the property it smelt damp and we then discovered a damp patch above the kitchen window which would explain it. The bathroom door didn’t shut unless it was locked. The windows were dirty. The garden could have done with weeding. We simply felt like the entire property could’ve done with a good clean and a bit of a spruce up.

Well located property

Perfect location for visiting my family in the north west

Bed in front bedroom squeaked with every movement. It needs a rubber washer. We didn't know how to control the heating and it got too hot. We turned down the thermostat but it kept going back up. We could have done with some information about recycling

A real home away from home.

From booking onwards we had nothing but exceptional service from the hosts. This was unfortunately not a holiday stay and their understanding coupled with a real "home away from home" feel to the cottage made it so much easier for us during a very difficult time.

lovely little house to stay in. lovely back garden for dogs and kids to play in. nice cosy front room for all the family. and the beds were just amazing

highly recommend getting tvs in bedrooms and kitchen.
