La Pace, Terre Marine

Lovely apartment with gorgeous view over Monterosso. Clean, bright and airy. Good location for a family holiday.

Very hot - fans did little to ease the discomfort. Not enough beds made up for our family of five and hosts did not respond to my message to request additional bedding. Overall hosts were slow to respond to messages. Also an issue with our booking data being leaked which led to many spam emails in the lead up to our visit. This has not happened with any other of our bookings.

Good location within the town. Nicely decorated. Lovely view of the town and sea.

The number of steps up to the residence was not clear from the initial ad, I knew there would be some but it was very down played. The instructions on how to find the apartment were very lacking. I received a generic automated email asking when we would be arriving and when this failed to load correctly I dismissed it as I was arriving during the prearrange time slot. It wasn't until we arrived, confronted with many flights of stairs and not knowing where we were going that I filled out at very unnecessarily extensive form, whilst stood on the street in the heat after a long journey, only then did i get instructions on how to find the place, which still undersold the number of stairs. I then still needed to wait longer for an email with the lock box code. Plus all of the stairs are so narrow that getting luggage up them was an extra challenge.

The property looks exactly as on the photos. Amazing view, spacious, great location.

Location, view, very spacious, clean and nice bathroom and kitchen. The place has potential, but not recommended without A/C!!

The apartment IS NOT a “few” steps as noted in the description. It is over 160 steps with a significant approach while carrying luggage!! Fortunately, we travel light and are in reasonable shape. However, don’t bring grandma, unless you plan to carry her four (4) floors + on your back!! NO A/C. I did not check the fine print!! However, at the price point (~$540/night) such should be a given. NOT recommended for a summer stay. When I contacted the staff for another fan, they advised that “I'm sorry there a not any other, i'll suggest to the owner”. Bad for business!!
