Multiple rules that would cost extra money if not followed. One rule was inconsistent (one place in book said take out glass another place said take out all trash).

Lovely vacation in the quaint beachside town.

This was a fabulous respite from a packed/hot trip through other parts of Europe. It’s clean, nice, all devices work well and was super easy to get to from the train station. We loved walking from one side of Monterosso to the other and had a great day at the beach. The beds were comfortable and the A/C worked great (unusual in Europe.) The snacks were also a welcoming touch. Because it’s on the other side from where the restaurants and activities are, it’s really quiet at night.

As you will see from the many reviews, the unit is on the 4th floor (which after climbing up the hill felt like 8 flights of stairs.) Also, this was our first stay in Italy so the need to leave “city tax” in exact change was a little confusing to us. Also, the long list of rules and “fees” you will pay for violating them felt a bit unwelcoming. The A/C unit was not working when we first got there but they fixed it the next morning. It’s on the opposite side from where most of the restaurants and activity is.

Great location, good size apartment for a family or two couples.

The location is excellent. Easy walk to the beach and restaurants. About a 10 minute easy walk to Old Town. Never had any concerns about security. Great apartment for a family, even the sofa bed was comfortable.

The air conditioning in the main bedroom is not working. We were aware of this before we arrived. It would be great if it was working, especially if it is as hot as it was when we were visiting. There is air conditioning in the living room and bunk room.

Overpriced top floor apartment with no elevator. Quiet part of town

Location in a nice quiet part of town and not too far from the station. Beds were comfortable. Reasonable kitchen facilities to allow cooking at home. Wifi was good. Clear instruction on how to enter the property once contact made with host

The crazy exorbitant price! 4 flights of stairs with no elevator was terrible with 3 big suitcases. Apartment is run down and quite cramped. Ok cleanliness though there was sand in apartment upon entry. No oven or microwave. Exhaust fan was really loud. The stove top kept short circuiting so had to reset the fuse box multiple times. No communication from the host. We had to make contact as the train was heading there to find out how to enter the property. Wouldn’t stay again

wasting money, I wouldn’t come back

A clean, welcome snack was good but you have to walk 4th ( 5th) floor with luggage bag

The air conditioner in the master bedroom was not working and kept showing an error. Despite multiple requests for repair, no action was taken, and the responses we received were unhelpful and unfriendly. Although we were told that a fan would be provided, it was never delivered. One of the staff members promised a partial refund, but after we checked out, we never received it and have not gotten any response since.

Monterosso family holiday

Excellent location only steps from the ocean and train station. Had coffee, sugar, salt, oil and vinegar as well as complimentary apricot croissants and cookies which we enjoyed as we arrived when most restarants close for the afternoon. Ac worked well in bedrooms, less well in living room (was hot, may be a setting issue but wasnt an obvious fix). Very clean facilities. Washer works. Beds were ok but creaky.

Lots of stairs to climb but we were alerted to this. It may be 4 floors but 10 flights so just FYI. Latches on the main bedroom door not working well and would randomly open. It backs onto the train tracks about 50m away so bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper.

There wasn’t an elevator room was level 4 which in fact was top level and we had to walk up 10 flights of stairs with luggage for 4 kids.

Bianca was wonderful! She made us feel right at home, and went out of her way to make the stay wonderful for the kids.

The location was perfect - a quick walk from the train, and even closer to wonderful snorkeling, swimming, and the focaccia and coffee of Focacceria Antonio Enoteca!

The only (tiny) issue was that the breaker flipped while doing the wash - but it was an easy fix, with instructions detailed in the house manual. And the clothesline made drying a (literal) breeze.

underwhelmed with a very average place to stay

including level 0 it’s 5 floors hiking up to the apartment. the water heater breaker tripped and the laundry and water heater didn’t work for a portion of the stay. the host was not helpful and could of given recommendations for restaurants and other bookings the first night, kind of slightly blamed me for the breaker issue which obviously is the host issue, and could of been a nicer host.
