This is a beautiful property with lots of charm and a stunning balcony with views along the coast of Cinque Terre. Daniela and Antonello were lovely to deal with and promptly answered any of our queries. The steps up to the property can be challenging but are rewarded by the beautiful views. We had a great time in Monterosso al Mare and would return in a heartbeat.

Location, terrace & view 10/10 Apartment 6/10 The terrace is wonderful, very large with a nice assortment of seating options, including a dining table with 6 chairs which was lovely for eating dinner in. The views are incredible, yes, it is up 170 steep stairs but that was not an issue for us as the terrace and views were worth the climb. The apartment itself was incredibly hot, even at night (there is no AC, only ceiling fans in the bedrooms which we found didn’t make much difference). It is small but looks just as it appears in the pictures (but a lot of clutter / stuff makes it feel a bit smaller). Although it is well stocked, it was few missing staples (ex. there was no toaster). Overall, it is a great place, the host was great and we absolutely loved Cinque Terre!

Views are really nice as is the location. Being right across from the beach was a benefit as it gets booked quickly. The host was very responsive even when our son left the key inside the place, locking us out. The one challenge we had was the heat. The inside temp of the place, with the windows open, was 28 C at night. And while there were ceiling fans, they don’t help when it is that hot.

Daniela's place was great. All of the amenities we needed were available (ie. full kitchen, washing machine, microwave, iron/board). Location is right next to the train station that stops right on the beach strip of Monterosso. Daniela's husband met us at the station and walked us to their place where we also met Daniela. They proceeded to show us their home and provided some local suggestions which is always very helpful. Yes, as others mention, there many steps to get up to their place but you acclimate and it's so worth it.... because the view is just unbelievable and unbeatable! Wow, is all I can say, as concurred with my family. The very large ocean side patio gives you sights and ocean sounds that make you want to never leave. I spent every meal and moment while at their place, day or night, out there just soaking it up. But wait, there's more, lol. Monterosso is the only town of entire Cinque Terre with an actual large strip of beach and it's just down the stairs from Daniela's place. On the same strip/boarded there are many offerings (ie. restaurants, pastry shop, gelato, small grocery shop, etc.). And just a few minutes walk down the boardwalk, you will find the historic village with various offerings and charming atmosphere. You're also only a train pass away from easily exploring the rest of the Cinque Terre towns as we did, as well as visiting La Spezia. I hope you too can get the opportunity to stay at Daniela's to enjoy Monterosso as we did!

My wife and I brought our kids and stayed here for our 20th anniversary. It did not disappoint! The view was stunning and had everything we needed. Communication was easy. It was a hike to get up all the stairs but so worth it! We would definitely stay again if we can

The view at this home is beyond incredible, and the large deck has a dining space and comfortable chairs for reading and relaxing. The major fault from our end was that the 180 stairs to reach the apartment weren’t mentioned. We reached out to confirm the day before arrival and were told of the stairs. We never could have gotten our luggage up. They were able to find a young man to help, whom we paid to take them up and back down on the day we left. The home also needs updating, seemed dusty- bothered our allergies and had the smallest shower we’ve ever seen. All that being said, the location in town was wonderful, the views incredible, but the stairs were prohibitive. We went down once and up once a day. No running back out for dinner or gelato. Limited our options during our week stay.

Yes, t are 170 steps up to this place and it is so worth it. The view from the terrace is incredible. If you want to hike you are right near the train station making for easy access to the different trails and towns. The owner is extremely kind and we absolutely loved our stay here.

This place is perfectly located right in front of the beach. Yes it has quite a bit of stairs but they are so worth it! Is in the center of everything, only steps away from the train station, really comfortable for a family. Our host was really friendly and very helpful. Will definitely return.

We had the most amazing holiday! The apartment is in a perfect (well apart from the 170 steps, but think of it as a work out) location with absolutely stunning views - you could spend all day on the balcony, which is massive. Monterosso al Mare is beautiful with an old town and new, so plenty to see and do and of course the beach just below. The station is a 5 minute walk so access to the other 4 towns is easy. We also did a day trip to Bonassola (10 minutes the other way on the train) for an extremely quiet day on the beach away from the hustle and bustle of Cinque Terre, with a fabulous (extremely cheap) lunch of local produce. Obviously the walks over the mountains can be difficult in the heat and there are easier options if you want to pay for a pass, but it was so worth it for the views. We will definitely be returning both to Cinque and this apartment, Iris was so helpful and informative and the apartment is quaint and larger than it looks in the picture, we absolutely loved it!

Stop. You need to book this place. Above the bustle of heavy tourism on the Main Street in new Monterosso, the quiet patio in Daniela’s home is a true haven. The views are absolutely breathtaking. The house is well kept and larger than it appears in photos. Daniela was a fabulous hostess. When we were initially dropped off in the wrong parking lot by our driver, she got a taxi to us in five minutes flat, which then brought us right to the gate. When I was unable to figure out how to work the blinds and stove, she came over right away to help. I really appreciated her prompt responsiveness. I recommend you book this place now, get your stair quota in for the year (there are 170 stairs from the road to the front door) and get access to the most amazing trekking, snorkeling and swimming!!! You are across the street from the best beach of all the five cities. Water is crystal clear, (when no storms) with superb visibility and plentiful aquatic life. Reserve a table at Miky’s for dinner- it’s less than a block away. Order the seafood risotto and mixed cakes for desert. Then climb home and drift off to gentle ocean breezes and the lulling sound of waves. We loved our stay here and can’t wait to return!

This is a perfect place to enjoy all of cinqueterre. Yes, there are a lot of steps to climb to get to the apartment, but that comes with being in Cinqueterre. The views from the terrace are unique, you can see all other four towns. The train station and old Monterosso are just around the corner. We (a family of five) will certainly go back.

This place was just wonderful for our family of 4. Very near the trains station and central in Monterosso. Francesca met us and took us to the flat. Yes there are some stairs so beware if you have problems negotiating stairs. The flat was charming and contained everything we needed. Comfortable master bedroom that opened out onto the patio. What a fantastic view. Best in Monterosso! You could see all 5 towns of Cinque Terre. Breeze from the Ligurian sea was cooling and swept through the flat to cool it immediately. We used patio at all hours. Kitchen and bathroom had everything we needed. We would come here again!!

Accueil très sympathique, un repas offert dans une pizzeria voisine (Très bon accueil là aussi nous y sommes revenus plusieurs fois pendant le séjour) . Point de départ idéal pour les randonnées du parc. Appartement situé à Fegina, quartier plage de Monterrosso, moins typique donc mais tout aussi charmant et la plage et la baignade sont belles , appréciable sur cette côte découpée. A proximité de la gare, pratique pour obtenir des informations (point info dans les gares) se déplacer dans le parc mais également pour une visite de Gênes (1.10 de train de mémoire). Appartement bien équipé, sanitaire un peu petit si on arrive à 6 (1 chambre adulte et une chambre enfants avec deux lits superposés. Et bien sur un petit mot sur les 173 marches pour accéder à l'appartement, donc ne pas oublier le pain, surtout après une journée de randonnées! et attention aux bagages trop lourds ou encombrants pour l'installation.Le "prix à payer" pour jouir de la terrasse et de la vue merveilleuse qu'elle offre et d'une certaine tranquillité par rapport à l'animation du bord de plage et aux voisins (peu de vis à vis une fois si haut!). Merveilleux séjour

The appartment's owner, Daniela, was very friendly and responded quickly to email queries such as where to park. There are a lot of steps, but then the view from the large terrace is wonderful. Proximity to the beach, sea-front cafes and the train station - with trains along the Cinque Terre, and also to Pisa, La Spezia and Genoa - are other big pluses.

We were met at the train station (just down the street) by Andrea and Donatella who were very helpful and gave us all the information we needed. The apartment is nice and quiet and looks down on the beach of Monterosso Al Mare. There is a restaurant just down stairs and many others along the street. We would be very happy to stay here again.

Loved our stay in the appartment. Eventhoug it was a challenging climb up the 178 steps - it was worth the hard work.... The appartmentment had seen nettet days, but we didn't miss anything. Stunning view! Close to everything.... and a welcoming host.
