Great beach location
The apartment was located in a quiet neighborhood at the edge of town, within easy walking distance of cafés, shops, and especially the beaches. It was also an easy walk from the train station, even with our luggage. The host stayed in close contact, making check-in smooth and straightforward.
The apartment itself was beautifully furnished, with lovely artwork on the walls and a charming outdoor table where we enjoyed breakfast every morning. We would love to return to Monterosso and would definitely stay in this apartment again.

It was perfect for my hubby and 13 yr old daughter. 3 minutes walk to the beach! AC was great, cute place with kitchen though we ate out most of the time. They had EXTRA large pillows which was great!!! A rack out front to dry towels, swimsuits etc.

Great service from the Owner. The house has everything you need for a perfect stay in Monterosso. Umbrella included which is of a great use considering it's just a few meters from Public beach.

Good value for money
Good location, just a few minutes walking from the beach. The host is very friendly, the apartment is simple but nice. (We had the smaller one on the groundfloor)
The bathroom is a bit out-dated and the neighbours above us were noisy at night (the sorrounding itself is very quiet however)

What i didn’t like 🤔 The host and the poor communication, multiple contact phone numbers missing correct area codes or not answered made things very difficult, Pestered constantly over arrival time and when arrived, basically ignored, apartment was difficult to find due to lack of correct signage that would after a long day travelling and then dragging suitcases up a very rough sloping road help but was frustrating, only to not be able to recognise or find the apartment, again was frustrating to say the least. Finally found a key under a matt that we were convinced by the numbering was not our apartment, but after sending a photo of the key was told yes it was our apartment, again confusing signage. Noisy renovations over the weekend and late into the night, well after 1 am and starting early in the morning again in the apartment directly above the one we stayed in, we didn’t complain but did mention it on our departure to the owner to only be told multiple lies via multiple messages that the noise was coming from apartments not directly above us, rather every other apartment except the one directly above the one one we stayed in. We have multiple lengthy text messages from the owner insinuating that we were lying. Found out later the apartment above us is also owned by the same owner. The apartment we stayed in does have minor flaws, but this didn’t really concern us, nor did the old out dated bed and mattress or that we had paid good money for our stay, well over 1100 Australia dollars for a few nights or the door in the bedroom with the window above that led to a external noisy stairwell, but the attitude and messages from the owner was a very big disappointment. Not our first time in Monterosso and won’t be our last and won’t be staying at Casa Manu.
ps, spoke to the builder early Monday morning who was cleaning up on the balcony directly above us who did apologise for the noise and told us they had finished, but according to the owner, none of this happened.

My stay at Casa Manu Apartments was fantastic, and I highly recommend it! Oliver, one of the staff members, was incredibly nice, helpful, and always available to assist with any questions or needs during our stay. The host was very accommodating, allowing us to do a late check-out and working with us to make it convenient. The apartments were clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, making our trip truly enjoyable. We’ll definitely return!

Great base to explore the Cinque Terre
Great size apartment. Very cute decor and felt very homely. Well equipped kitchen, bathroom, magazines / books / games also. Tucked up the end of a quiet street but walkable from the train station and the beach. About a 1km walk in to the old town (which we preferred) but a very easy walk and nice to do after dinner each night.
Nothing that impacted us (I’ll sleep in a swag under the stars) but the apartment block itself is a little bit older so just don’t expect super modern.

the apartment was nice and spacious.
the only downside was that the shower was a little narrow, and the floor was slippery. the tiles in the hallway and bedrooms were ceramic tiles so if your feet were a little wet it made for a hazard for falling. I would suggest some sort of slip-proof rug in the hall outside the bathroom to prevent this. The stove was a little complicated so we didn’t try to use it. I would also suggest providing a better option for coffee. And more floor fans so you can have one downstairs and also in each bedroom. Lastly, it was a challenge to get all our luggage from the train station to the apartment. taxis are not plentiful and it’s a long walk with rolling bags and rough roads.

Communication with the host was perfect, questions were answered quickly and in detail. The location of the apartments is very good: quiet place in the center of the town, 7-10 min. walking from the railway station. Spacious two-bedroom apartment with a well-equipped kitchen and big living room.
We had booked two apartments: of one and two bedrooms. One bedroom apartment was tidy, but musty smell in it was very strong. There were no windows in the bedroom, so the smell of mold could not be vented.
In two bedrooms aprtment the shower curtain in the bathroom was dirty, the drain was not draining well, so the sink and bathtub were pooling.

Overpriced for such a run down place with no sea view nor comfort. Needs urgent renovations.
There was plenty of room and it was an easy short walk to the beach and town centre.
The place needs renovating. The shower curtain is old and dirty, the water pressure not great, the hot water just warm enough without using any cold water which could have helped increase the water pressure. No bath mat or heated towel rack to dry the towels which remained humid even when hung up outside. One bedroom door didn’t shut properly, and the other one scraped the floor and the windows all rattled when opening or shutting the door. Curtain missing in one bedroom. Lack of heating and no double glazing for winter (which wasn’t our case), unfortunately no sea view which we’d hoped for judging by the photos. No sound insulation. Slow wifi. Beds not very comfortable (1 double and 2 singles).

Perfect holiday flat for family and group
Our check in went smoothly. Communication by Amedeo the owner was polite and friendly. The neighbourhood is very quiet, safe and nice. It's very close to shops, stations, cafés and restaurants. Nice stroll to the old town. The flat is super spacious, large kitchen and lounge area. Its a beautiful flat. Internet connection is good.

During the time I stayed at the flat I had to work. The flat has a fast internet connection and a desk of decent size. The flat is very quiet so I was able to do productive work.

Vielleicht komme ich doch noch einmal.
Silvio, der auf uns vor dem Haus gewartet hat, war super nett und sehr freundlich. Er hat immer auf alle Bitten positiv reagiert und zusätzliche Bettwäsche für das Sofa im Wohnzimmer angeboten.
Im Wohnzimmer hatten wir eine kleine Küche mit allen (obwohl ein bisschen alten) Küchenutensilien.
Meine Tochter und ich konnten in aller Ruhe das Frühstück zubereiten, in einer alten Mokka-Kaffeemaschine Kaffee kochen, auf der Veranda an unserem eigenen Tisch frühstücken und abends direkt vom Zimmer nach draußen gehen.
Ein Bettlacken war leider leicht eingerissen...
Die Dusche war etwas alt, obwohl sehr sauber.
Wir waren etwas enttäuscht, dass einige Kochutensilien (wie die Bratpfannen) abgenutzt nicht zum Kochen geeignet waren.

Due giorni alle Cinque Terre
Personale molto gentile. Rispondono subito ai messaggi e forniscono buone indicazioni.
Posizione: vicino alla spiaggia, e a poche centinaia di metri dalla stazione. Strada non principale, quindi molto tranquilla e senza eccessivi rumori.
Casa accogliente, ottima per due persone. Molto comodi sia il letto che il divano.
Cucina utilizzabile.
Abbiamo soggiornato non a Casa Manu ma a Casa Polly, a pian terreno. Entrando si sentiva tanfo di umido (o simile). Penso dipenda proprio dalla struttura dell'appartamento.
L'unica fonte di luce è una finestra grande, che si affaccia sul passaggio in strada quindi se si tiene aperta la tapparella chi passa vede dentro casa, dato che non c'è neppure la tenda. Inoltre, la finestra non aveva zanzariera.
In bagno c'erano piccole macchie di condensa. Manca il bidet.
