Beach Haven, Steps to Sand, Trails & Shops, Highly Rated 2-Bedroom House Minutes from Mumbles Beach with a Patio

Great location - in the centre of Mumbles with lots of cute coffee shops/Tesco/etc at your doorstep. Very responsive host every step of the way. The flat was modern, clean and spacious, and perfect for the three of us.

The parking situation was confusing! There is street parking for specific hours, or a paid parking lot. This made it tricky to plan when we should/shouldn't take the car out with us!

The location

The lack of cleaning was apparent when we arrived, despite us paying £125 cleaning fee before our stay. I know this is for when we leave, but you would expect the apartment to have been cleaned before. Instead, all dishes and cutlery were visibly dirty in the dishwasher. We had to buy dishwasher tablets and put dishwasher on as the cleaner didn't know how to do this. Also, my wife had to hover the carpets. I'm guessing the cleaner receives only a small fraction of the £125 cleaning fee? The on street parking is only for 30 minutes from 8am to 6pm, so this will be an extra expense. We paid for an extra nights stay. But the owner got this confused with the damage deposit, even though the amounts were different! So, I had emails asking me to pay for the extra nights stay, even though I have told her twice when the payment was sent to her. We also got 3 automated emails asking us to check out before the additional night. I'm just glad that the damage deposit was returned. The organisation and attention to detail was so lacking that I doubt we would have received our deposit back. It was actually returned the day before, which was probably a mistake on their part. But the whole organisation was a catalogue of errors.

Nicely presented home that was clean and in a good location.

The lack of parking was a bit annoying as although there was parking nearby it was £17 a day which is quite expensive. I think the parking situation should be made clearer in the accommodation information. It was great having two large double beds but they were very firm.

Central modern and comfortable

Good location right by shops and supermarkets 5 mins from sea and 5 mins to the castle which has a lovely garden and woods which was great for the dogs and kids to play even got a water tap with bowl for the dogs to have a drink and toilets as well lovely place

Lots of cars parking right out side house and car doors slammed all the time as they park to go to tescos and don’t stop until tescos shuts but if you don’t mind this it’s great place

Comfortable beds, very well equipped, immaculate in decor and cleanliness, hosts fantastic, excellent location for Tescos, coffee shops for breakfast, 2 minute walk to seafront and restaurants.

No parking but 24 hour parking round the corner (£17.00 per 24 hrs) and free 30 minute stay outside property with a few spaces to unload. TV connection difficult and time consuming. No paper guidebook - all relatively minor irritations.

Location great- well equipped and spacious

The hallway was damp and smelled damp as it was raining and leaked. For that reason we didn’t want to use it for coats or shoes. The parking outside was for permit holders only other than short stay and we didn’t have a permit. We paid to park for the 3 days

Minor - But no direct parking at location but would not stop me staying again. Parking is easily located but at a cost.

A beautiful property, really well maintained and decorated. Had everything you needed and Grace was really helpful

No free parking (true of the entire area)

Brilliant location, couldn't be any closer to the best of Mumbles, plus all clean and tidy. Nicely furnished and well kept with most everything needed for a lovely getaway. Having good wardrobes and hairdryers was super helpful - and very soft towels!

Nothing to dislike, just a few potential improvements. Would be handy to have a chair to perch in bedrooms as beds are very low, plus a book or similar with device instructions etc.
