The cleanliness of the apartment was horrible - the whole place smelled very strongly as if it had been smoked in for years and then tried to be covered up with a chemical cleaner - it was nauseating. The smell seeped into my clothes and possessions and I had to rewash everything i came with when i got home just to get the smell out. The kitchen was very poorly equipped with 2/3 pieces of dirty and rusty cutlery - no pots and pans. The fridge was disgusting inside - black mould was growing and any of the food I had bought and kept in it overnight had a mouldy smell/taste in the morning and had to throw away everything (fruit and veg). The quality of the bedding was average and overall furnishings were worn. The free standing lamps around the house had no light bulbs in them. The entry hallways of the building smelled so strongly of rotten food and cooking with no ventilation. People putting their washing out to dry in the hall blocking the way and adding to the smell. Overall it was a horrific 3 nights i had to spend in this apartment as everywhere else was booked and no refund was available. Please avoid at all costs.

Have stayed here a couple of times now. Personally I love the appt, i have on both occasions stayed in appt 17 which has a lovely little balcony area. The rooms are well equipped and spacious, but can get very hot, but they do supply a fan which does help, especially in the bedroom. You are slap bang in the middle of town, local bars, restaurants, supermarkets and cinema are no more than 5 minutes walk in either direction.............perfect. If I have a gripe with the appt it is the presentation of the building as you walk through to get to your appt, it's rather scruffy and messy. If you're able to put this to one side, your reward will be a lovely, clean, well presented and spacious appt. When I'm in Swindon will always try and use Hamilton court appts.
