Great location but disappointing apartment

Good location with great Italian restaurant nearby. Spacioius apartment. Good TV. Adequate amount of kitchen equipment for a short stay. The block is quiet.

The blinds are broken and do not fully pull across the windows in the bedrooms or sitting room, hence it is not possible to make rooms sufficiently dark to sleep in. There is black mould in the bathroom covering around 10% of the ceiling, the apartment has a stale smell. Some maintenance and repair is necessary

Absolutely nothing is likeable about this property, the staff are the worst I have experienced, they refused to give check in details even though eveything had been paid for and deposit had been paid, now they are holding onto the deposit after repeatedly telling me it’s being processed.

Okay, nothing special

Kitchen utensils, 1 frying pan, no bottle opener, broken dining chair, 1 toilet roll, no small tumbler glasses, just pint glasses, email telling us we’d be charged for electric if we used too much, which we most certainly did not, but that’s not the point, we paid enough money for 2 nights accommodation!

Great for our needs

The apartments are in a very central location and amenities are within walking distance. Communication with the host was amazing, everything is detailed and any interaction is very swiftly responded to, we couldn't ask for anything better. The apartment itself is very comfortable and everything you'd need is provided.

Lovely stay. Excellent location. Very clean. Would definitely stay again.

The property inside was great! Very clean, spacious, light. It even had fans by our beds which we were very thankful for as it was very hot outside.

There were 4 pint glasses but we could have done with some smaller glasses for juice in the morning. Also the corridor to get to the apartment felt a bit dodgy. But once inside we were so thankful for how lovely this apartment was.

Don't stay, book a hotel instead.

The outside of the property and hallway looked like a crack den/ council area. The hosts made everything super complicated to get in, had to take selfies etc. They sent an email once in stating a £3 limit per day of electricity uses. Just ridiculous. Left after 1 night when we'd booked for 2.

Clean, spacious and good value apartment near the centre of Swindon.

Great location and off street parking. Very secure building. The apartment was very spacious with a good size dining table to work on, very comfortable sofa and a well equipped kitchen. It was very clean throughout and is obviously well looked after. The price was very reasonable for the location and there are plenty of local shops, off-licences and take-away options (plenty of those). Whilst there is nobody to meet, the instructions to access the property were very clear and timely. Communications with the owner were by e-mail or booking app and very clear. I had one question to ask and it was answered over the booking app very quickly. I would defiantly use this apartment again if in Swindon or surrounds.

The wi-fi signal was not that good (about 15-20 Mb/s) but there is excellent 4 / 5G signal of up to 40 Mb/s so that was not an issue if you can hotspot off your phone. The bed felt a bit soft, but I sleep on a very firm mattress normally so that may have been just me.

nice big apartment, needs the owner to stay there for a night and realise that it needs some TLC

Location for us, but the car park felt a little dark and dingy.

heating not working, i had to increase the pressure of the water system myself - only could do this as i have knowledge of the system that is there. forgot to leave a 2nd parking permit that we paid for (they sorted the next day). Shower blocked and wouldn't drain had to stop the show half way and wait for it to empty. Kitchen tap broken. No tv in the master bedroom, only in living room and one of the other bedrooms. No blinds on the velux windows, not great when trying to stay iin bed. Ridiculously early 9am checkout time, although i told them that we wil be there until 11am and the hosts didnt reply.

A well sized apartment in a good location. Clean and comfortable. Parking is a bonus.

An excellent sized apartment for sleeping 5 adults comfortably. Two bathrooms is an added bonus. Apartment is warm and comfortable with good cooking facilities. The apartment needs a little bit of care and maintenance.

Several items like kitchen taps needed fixing. The main bedroom needs blockout blinds on the windows. Parking was stressful even with the parking permit provided. It was difficult communicating with the property managers when getting access to the property.

Maybe a bit too caring?

Stayed with Hamilton Grace several times because I know it is clean, comfortable, well maintained, great location, free parking and reliable.

This time I had several intrusions. I understand they want to make sure their guests are happy but near enough every day? When I arrived I had a knock on the door to ask if I was all settled in and if everything was okay. Tuesday, whilst in a business meeting I was called to ask if everything was okay. Wednesday whilst driving I was again called to ask if everything was okay, If I wasn't I'd let them know. Other than that it was up to it's usual standard, very good, otherwise I wouldn't keep coming back.

Once we got in, the apartment was comfortable and met our needs during our stay.

It was not terribly easy, but okay. There is too much email with less than important information early in the process. The manager would not release good instructions on door code and where the keys were until the day before. This was a problem because we were on a plane all day that previous day. Also, it was very hard to get the apartment number from the manager in a timely manner in order to fill out locator forms. It all worked out in the end, but it was more stressful than it needed to be. I suggest revising the early emails to contain better instructions on how to access the apartment.

A very stressful experience

Large rooms, plenty of space for a group.

Communication was terrible. First I didn’t know if parking was confirmed or not, there were no instructions on how to get to the parking for the property (I live in Swindon and I struggled to find it!) the key box is located inside the building next to the apartment door, however there are also key boxes outside of the building before entering.. with no explanations anywhere it makes the situation more stressful than it needs to be. Once inside the apartment I was pleasantly surprised by its size and cleanliness, however I then encountered another issue.. the parking permit was nowhere to be seen! I had to call the company to find out what was going on and they said the cleaners hadn’t had a chance to leave the permit in the apartment and could they drop it off at 8am the next morning. If I receive a parking ticket for the overnight I will be making a formal complaint. I was then surprised to receive a message late on the Saturday reminding me to check out. The checkout options given were until 9am in the morning, even though printed documents in the property state 11am checkout (which is also a more reasonable time when staying in a location!). The cleaners arrived promptly at 9am to usher me and my friends from the apartment! The company also took a £300 deposit from my account and I have had no communication on when I am to receive this back! Overall very annoyed and I would not recommend.

Poor

The flat had an unpleasant odour, smelled like cigarette smoke combined with human sweat, the carpet was stained in multiple places, there were no curtains, just flimsy blinds which did not block any light. The windows look out on a very busy road, terribly noisy at night. The wall paper was peeling off the walls. And now they are trying to withhold our deposit based on the grounds of stained carpet!

Clean and spacious and surprisingly quiet give its location.

The advance check in procedure was a pain. I know they've had problems with some guests before but the unusual requirements were a real nuisance. The TV was beyond us. We could only find (lousy) Sky News. No black out curtains.
