Rapport qualité prix et accueil au top

L'accueil est sensationnel. Le petit déjeuner à lui seul vaut le déplacement. Cerise sur le gâteau, j'ai suivi à la télévision de l'établissement la finalissima de hockey sur glace HC Davos contre Fribourg Gottéron.

Vraiment rien. Longue vie au B & B Bellagio.

Mega feines Frühstück, frisch zubereitet, lässt keine Wünsche offen. Alles sehr sauber und gepflegt. Eingerichtet mit viel Liebe zum Detail. Gastgeberin und Personal zuvorkommend und freundlich

Fällt mir nichts ein

The hotel room was clean and quiet. It has an elevator and breakfast is included. The host was helpful with information about what to do (Kirchner museum, cable car to the Schatzalpe, information about Thomas Mann). A parking spot is available for an additional 10 CHF and I was allowed to let my car there until next day afternoon while I was exploring the town. The room was too warm and letting the shutters down, it was not easy to vent by opening the door/window.

When you book, the latest check-in time is 19:00. Having to drive for more than four hours and having to finish some tasks at home, I called in the afternoon of the day I was supposed to arrive and asked whether there is a possibility to pick up the key from a key safe and by this to self check-in as it is offered by a number of other accomodations. This was just for me to know how much time left I had. The host then started a big discussion on the phone, telling me that there is no such late/self check-in option and continuing to say that the cancellation fee is corresponding to the totall accommodation fee. Then she repeated that because I booked via booking.com, no such possibility exists and I would have to pay the cancellation fee and that the later it gets (I understood, the later I do the cancellation), the more money I would have to pay, up to the double of the cancellation fee. Then she mentioned, when I would have booked directly, not via booking.com, such a late chack-in would have been availble. The host sounded very energetic and commited giving me lots of confusing information and advice, which I had not understood. I did not have the impression that she tried to help me, it sounded rather like lots of reproaches, why I booked via booking.com and why I dare to ask whether a late check-in is available. Maybe the local accent of the swiss language influenced the communication style and gave me a hostile / aggressive impression so that finally I stopped the discussion saying that I will either make it in time until 19:00 or cancel the reservation. Finally I understood that when booking directly, there is a late check-in option where you pay an extra fee, the more expensive, the later you arrive. Arriving, there is no possibility to park aside the road for checking in and no sign points to the hotel's parking spot so that I had to park in the driveway of the house on the opposite side of the road.
