Clean and close to town, but definitely rough around the edges.

We enjoyed that the location was close to downtown Louisville. It was quiet and seemed safe.

Owner is obviously trying to upgrade the property after recently purchasing it, and there is still a lot of work to be done. They have replaced the flooring and repainted. Bathroom in our room was very old and needed cleaning in the shower. Our room reeked like cigarettes when we first showed up. The A/C unit really needed to be replaced because the age and damp smell. The bedspread was ancient and frayed/ripped. The sheets were clean, but had some residual stains that needed to be bleached out. No evidence of pests, so the place was acceptable to sleep in for two nights. We used our own blankets. The furniture was old and scratch and dent. No safe to store valuables, very thin towels, no bedside lamps, and no easily accessible outlets for charging. For almost $500 for two nights I expected more. Staff was very nice and did check if we needed extra towels, etc.

The man who worked there was very nice and accommodated a very late check in. Overall really grateful i had a place to stay during the louder than life festival because I knew of a lot of places that cancelled their bookings due to OVERbooking.

The room itself was pretty dirty, walls had blood-like stains, drawings in something that only showed up with a black light, dirty towels(luckily we brought our own), the room did smell like cigarettes pretty strongly~ which was handled by someone coming in to spray to cover it up. The sheet had dried paint on it. We had to ask for additional toilet paper. The remote for the tv was not programmed to the tv we realized even after we purchased our own batteries to replace the corroded ones that were in the remote.

It was bug free at the very least.

Place was rather dirty and smelled of cigarette smoke. Noise insulation is practically non-existent and you can hear when your neighbor moves their toe or in our case, moans and screams wildly all night long on some kind of drug high. Bed felt like 2 pieces of cardboard on top of a metal box and the pillows were rocks. Bathroom window latch was broken and the place felt very insecure. I guess you get what you pay for, but even $83 feels better tossed in a fire than spent on this place.
