Hosts were very friendly and attentive, providing a great welcome and suggestions for dinner in the evening, as well as a recommendation of an activity to do the next day after we checked out.
Bathroom was private for our room, though not connected to the room itself. The bathroom was very nice. Our room also had a sink in the bedroom itself.
Bed was a bit soft - the mattress was not the most comfortable, but overall, no issue.
We very much enjoyed our stay, and if we stay in the area again would certainly consider the Avondale House again!

Our room was clean and comfortable with friendly, helpful hosts who made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Introduced us to their friendly dog and they were able to offer advice on where to eat dinner. Plenty information in the folder in the room of local attractions if anyone wanted. We would stay again.

Steve and Sue were wonderful hosts. Made us feel very welcome . Location was excellent with a resturant across the road and safe parking. Their home was ours as we petted the pets ( cats and dog) and had evening drinks with them both so very hospitable hosts. Their home if I am honest is a little tired in furnishings but that is only superficial. Adequate accommodation. Our room was small but I loved the bath situated at the end of the bed. Hubby wasnt so happy as there was no shower and with the toilet being outside our room and across the hall. Breakfast was also very good .

Very friendly welcome and lovely couple. Room very light and airy and very comfortable. Excellent breakfast.
