Lovely hotel.

Siobhan and Des were excellent hosts, they really went the extra mile to make you feel at home and comfortable in their hotel. Breakfast was superb! Especially the black pudding. We had the ‘small breakfast’ which was huge and delicious. We took our dog too, she was made very welcome too. The bed was really comfortable. Fabulous views from the windows.

Everything from arriving to leaving. The host Des was very helpful, even fixing our broken wheel on our suitcase! Thanks Des. Paid breakfast but very reasonable and enjoyable. Would definitely stay again if passing through in the future.

Relaxing wee find in the highlands

The hotel was close to everything we wanted from the surrounding area, at the same time peaceful to enjoy a great nights sleep. Breakfast was delicious, and loads to keep you going through the day.

Unfortunately the hotel is located on a main road and side road which to us was noisy and had to park across the road. The staff were very friendly incl pet friendly and helpful with bringing our bags upto our room.

The location was perfect. The hotel itself was very comfortable and clean. Des & Sinead who own & run the hotel are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and we can highly recommend the scrambled eggs & haggis 😋

A warm welcome for dogs and their humans!

Other hotels say they are dog friendly, but what they really mean is that they allow, rather than welcome dogs. The Osprey is very different. Treats and cuddles at check-in, chicken for breakfast, water bowl at reception. Dogs are VIP guests here! But for the whole party, a very warm welcome from lovely hosts. Comfortable beds, everything spotlessly clean. Excellent dinner recommendations, and, as you'd expect, excellent local dogwalking tips! Thoroughly recommended.

The building unavoidably doesn't have parking of its own, but excellent comms in advance pointed us to the available spaces over the road. Not a problem.

Perfectly convenient and fun, just what we were looking for!

Des and sinead were so welcoming and helpful! The property is steps from the train station, and is centrally located to a pub and a nice walk! Des made us the most delicious curry for dinner and was lovely to chat to!

Sinnead couldn't do enough. The hotel was spotless. The service excellent and dog friendly

The location whilst fine would suit business travellers and maybe bicycle users especially. We would have preferred more scenery and outside space but the hotel was lovely and the welcome very warm.this hotel located in a village/ town on the main thoroughfare. Whilst not noisy..we personally would have preferred a more scenic spot. However can't praise sinned enough for her service.

Familial feel in a lovely town.

Des and Sinead are lovely hosts. It felt like staying with friends instead of staying in a hotel. The breakfast is absolutely fabulous. If we return to Scotland we are coming back here for sure.

A real gem

Very unique hotel with a beautiful design and cute decorations. Very delicious breakfast, free parking available. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful and we were having a funny evening with Des on his birthday! Thank you both for this unforgettable experience.

A perfect place for a relaxing day off

I received a very warm welcome from the tenant and his wife. Since we were TGO hikers the tenant immediately offered to wash and dry our hiking clothes for free. The bedroom was luxury and we enjoyed a very nice breakfast in the morning The tenant and his wife where very caring towards their guests The hotel is very well located, a few steps from the railway station and the shops, and just in front of a nice public garden

The hosts Sinead and Des made us feel so welcome, and they were so personable and kind. Our room was bright and clean, and bed was so comfy we had a great nights sleep! The breakfast was fantastic, accommodating our requests, and we were made to feel right at home. We had a wonderful stay, thank you!

Welcoming inn in a bucolic setting

The hosts were very welcoming, and we really liked Kingussie as a quiet place to stop on our trip through the highlands. We would like to have stayed longer. We also appreciated having a breakfast option nearby while the Osprey is remodeling their kitchen.

I can honestly say this is the best hotel I have ever stayed in and I can’t wait to visit again.

The hotel is so beautiful inside and out. The decor is stunning and it’s set in the most amazing place. Our room was incredible and everything was so clean and fresh. The bed was so comfy…and huge! Des and Sinead are the most wonderful hosts and such lovely genuine people. They really went above and beyond and made everything so perfect for us. I highly recommend this gorgeous hotel and would like to say a huge thank you to Des and Sinead from myself and my daughter for being so amazing and making our stay a truly wonderful experience. I miss it already and I can’t wait to go back!
