The decor was very nice and everything was very clean. The little touches like homemade cookies in your room were lovely. Our room was for 2 adults and 2 children and was very big with two separate rooms within the room. The staff at breakfast were very friendly and the food was delicious. We would love to stay here again.

What Stood Out?
Check-in was super quick and hassle-free, probably one of the easiest I’ve had. The hotel was spotless throughout, from reception to the rooms. Beds were comfortable, toiletries were good quality, and the homemade cookies in the room were a lovely touch and tasted amazing. Nice to have a coffee machine for a quick americano, though no instant coffee option.
Food & staff
Breakfast is available at the property. It’s more on the limited continental side, but still enough for a proper Scottish breakfast and some vegetarian options. The restaurant staff were warm and welcoming, and really set a good vibe in the morning.

The hotel was comfortable, clean and had everything you would want/need for an overnight stay. Although the reception desk isn’t manned 24/7, you can get hold of the owners easily enough if needed by phone- we had a mishap with the shower in our room and they were great at sorting things out so our stay wasn’t affected.
The only downside was no regular teabags included with the herbal teas and coffee

Lovely cosy hotel - quiet, warm and comfortable. Instructions to let ourselves in and collect the key were very clear and the process suited us perfectly! Staff were around a bit and were very friendly and helpful when we needed restocking of our tea/coffee/hot chocolate supplies. I did some work from the shared lounge area which was very comfortable and the wifi never let me down. Requested a room with a bath and it didn't disappoint! I'm sensitive to noise but had no problems at all, despite being right next to the train station. I'd highly recommend the network of walking paths in Kingussie - pamphlet in the lobby gives you all the information you need.
Bed and room in general were a bit small, but we did go for the double rather than the king..
