8.8 / 10Excellent·May 2025
I arrived very early in the morning and there was no one there. Eventually the manager came and let me in. My room was not available until the afternoon but she let me store my luggage and wait until cafes and shops open. Came back and after some wait she led me to the room which was very nice. My room was not exactly as the same level as the elevator - we had to open a door go down a few steps down and up and open another door to get there. I have seen similar issues with other old buildings. The rooms looks just like the picture. Plumbing and hot water were fine. However, there was no real desk - I moved some things from the coffee table so that I could place my iPad and charging electronics. Location is great - next to the town center. I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars because of the confusing layout and because I found it a bit expensive, but given the room quality, it’s probably not too overpriced.

The hotel was beautiful, clean and really well located. The staff was very polite and helpful and the cherry on the top was the view from window to a little outdoor café with two young musians playing good quality jazz music... super nice. Highly recommend.

This lovely ancient building at the edge of the old town has been nicely renovated and has an excellent restaurant.
