It was very clean, walking distance from train station and a little further to the downtown area. I did feel like I was more of a nusance than a guest. Had to carry my luggage up 3 flights of stairs as the lift was not working

Got nervous when we realized it’s someone’s apartment but they made it simple and if we can do it anybody can! Lol! Even had bottles of water to greet us and coffee for the AM. Nice and easy! Would recommend!

It was a short 10 minute walk up a hill to get to the guesthouse. We never actually saw Laura, but she had great communication via WhatsApp. Clear directions were given for how to get into the building and apartment. The apartment was 3 individual guest rooms connected by a small room. We weren’t able to check in early, however she did say we could leave our luggage in the main room before we checked in, which we didn’t end up doing as we got into La Spezia later than anticipated due to our trains. There are a lot of stairs up, there is a tiny lift, however we didn’t have the key when we arrived so we didn’t use it to get our luggage up. The key was on the main entrance key in the lock box, so maybe send one person up to the the apartment and see if the key is there and then send your luggage up. Comfortable king sized bed, the smaller bed was less comfortable but still ok. Shower had great pressure. The towels are awful, super scratchy and rough. Absolutely everything else was great. 10/10 would recommend you stay here!!

The place was excellent. My only complaint is that is was difficult to find out how to get into the building. Hotels.com did not make it clear that I needed to contact the place directly. I did email and did. It hear back from them. I called them once I was in Italy and even that was tricky. If a person did not have 3G/5G, it would be costly to get ahold of the place.

The property was very clean, and aside from the lousy hairdryer, was nicely appointed. It is not a hotel, be aware of this. We booked through Expedia, but it feels like an Airbnb. There are very few restaurants nearby, and virtually no taxis in the city. That was frustrating.

On the pictures it all looks good but nobody tells you that in the bathroom, both under the sink and the toilet bowl, there are camping septic ranks that come roaring on every time you use water. That’s the first time I saw something like this in a place that advertises itself on Hotels.com. Seriously? I guess, I have to be happy it was not a portable toilet. And that’s not the worst: on the second day the housekeeping came to my room without my consent. Nobody even told me that someone else has a key to my room! In a hotel at least there is a sign “do not disturb” and if you post it on your door no one will ever come in. This place had nothing like that and they just entered the room, where I had all my staff including some sensitive documents. I felt so violated! The best part of this whole stay was that I called Hotels.com, asked to give me my money back for the second night, pack my suitcase and left.

Room was clean and has everything you need. 10 min walk from the train station, so very convenient for day trips to Cinque Terre. The towels were a bit rough, but the bed was very comfy! Shower was also fantastic!
