From the moment we stepped inside, hostess Sabrina greeted us with warmth, expertise, and a genuine desire to help. The rooms are stunning, but they’re a bit on the smaller side. The location is perfect, and there’s a restaurant called Il Cantuccio Restaurant that you absolutely must try. Their food is exceptional, served in a beautiful outdoor setting. You’ll feel like you’re dining at a Michelin-starred restaurant, but at a fraction of the cost.

From entering the lobby and checking in, to departing after four days, everything was perfect. Dario at check-in was gracious and helpful. Every morning being greeted by Steven was a highlight! The hotel is in a great area and simply stunning.

Upon check-in was allocated a standard room not a heritage suite. This was corrected promptly once it was brought to the attention of the staff. However they claimed this room type wasn’t communicated by Expedia to them until I showed the booking confirmation We went to the rooftop bar on the first evening but there were virtually no staff to make and serve drinks. So we left and mentioned it to reception who commented that there was a private party on that evening and they didn’t have enough staff to look after hotel guests too.

Team was phenomenal. Apartment had full kitchen and appliances. Small issue with the washer and dryer however the staff responsive and issue remedied. Would stay again.

Great Location. Excellent, friendly service. The room was bright, modern & contemporary design & attractive view of the little square from the Juliet balcony. The bed was comfortable & good quality linen & towels. However our room, No5 was extremely small. There was barley room to walk around bed, especially the bottom, without almost hitting against the flat screen TV on the wall. I would have liked a chair in the room & hooks for a bath towel & robe in the bedroom, other than the one inside the shower -which you had to get into & close the shower door before you could access it. There did not seem to be a way to call a member of staff to order drinks on the roof terrace in the evening in November.

Everything was so charming, the property is beautiful, breakfast was unimaginably delicious, staff was very passionate about the culture and hospitality. Can’t wait to be back! The concierge recommended two of the best restaurants we had been too (Nitai and Messina).

This hotel is absolutely stunning. It is maintained in a state of excellence by a truly incredible staff, who go above and beyond in everything they do and who clearly care a great deal about the facility and each guest's experience. The rooms are tastefully decorated, the beds are extremely comfortable, and breakfast on the patio is a delight. La Fonda was one of the best hotels I've ever had the pleasure of staying in, and I hope to be back one day soon.

My stay at this hotel was exceptional. The staff treated us like VIPs from the moment we arrived. The hotel, with its superb condition and modern amenities, showcased incredible Spanish charm. The architecture and beautifully decorated rooms made for a memorable and luxurious experience. Highly recommended for a culturally enriching stay.

This is a fabulous hotel! Everything was perfect. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. The room was beautiful. Breakfasts were fantastic and I was provided every day with beautiful gluten free bread. The location is ideal for walking around the old town. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend it.

One of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. Location is perfect in old town with an easy walk to the beach. The staff at this hotel are the finest we’ve experienced. Everyone from front desk, housekeeping to restaurant were exceptionally professional and pleasant. Wonderful breakfast. We also had a delicious lunch. We stayed in their least expensive room and while on the small side, it had a cute little courtyard to sit outside. We highly recommend La Fonda! 5* all the way.

The inflexibility of this establishment and unwillingness to accommodate a clear mistake in booking is only overshadowed by the abrupt lack of communication from its management when inquiries are made. If you want to support a cold hearted managent then by all means stay here. A smattering of kindness would have alleviated this review.
