La Clé Boutique Hotel Old Town Marbella

Lovely boutique hotel in the old town. Our spacious Superior Suite was beautifully decorated, very comfortable, had ample storage, and was clean. The shower took a while to heat up, but it was still good. The AC worked well.

- It would be nice to have a small light/lamp beside the bed. - There was a shared kitchen on the ground floor, but we did miss having a small fridge and kettle in the room. I still highly recommend this hotel.

De locatie. Alhoewel lastig bereikbaar met taxi. Is een hele drukke straat midden in old town met allemaal restaurantjes. De taxi die ons bracht begreep niet hoe hij er moest komen. Laatste stuk met koffer gelopen.

Tweede verdieping. Er is geen lift dus je moet dan met je koffer naar boven.

This place is great property in a terriffic location in a remarkably pretty old town. The Booking.com information is incorrect and misleading - it is not a hotel in a traditional sense. There is no reception, there are no staff. It is a set of self-check in rooms sharing a communal space - a small shared kitchen for coffee, a small lounge area and a really lovely shared courtyard. But for an old building it has been very well updated - it is stylish and comfortable and an oasis of calm.

It's an old building beautifully renovated, but still old. The apartments all come off a communal stairway and all the walls and doors are thin so other guests coming and going can be noisy. Our room faced the internal courtyard so was quiet but I suspect the street facing rooms could be noisy. The Booking.com information around check in times is incorrect so there was a protracted negotiation process with the building managers about when we could access the property, when we could access our rooms. They were very lovely to deal with and super friendly and helpful - I was just setup with a false expectation from the misleading information ahead of booking.
