I made a reservation for 2 rooms with my family and 2 children. We arrived at the hotel around 2:00 PM, but we were told that we could not check in. I asked them to complete the check-in process even if we didn’t enter the room yet, but they refused, so we left our luggage and went out. When we came back to the hotel at 9:00 PM, we were told that there were no available rooms left in the building with an elevator, and that we would have to climb three floors without an elevator with our 2 children and luggage. When I asked for a room in the building with an elevator, they said it was not possible and explained that if we had checked in earlier during the day, it would have been available, but since we came late, there was nothing they could do. The stairs we had to climb were very steep, and I had to carry the children and the luggage one by one in my arms. I even searched for another hotel through your website, but I couldn’t find any. If I had, I would have left immediately.

The hotel has a nice location, a comfortable, and clean room. I'm very uncomfortable with the reception staff. They have very poor communication. On the evening of August 12th, the receptionist told me the parking lot was full and that advance reservations were required. I can respect that. However, when I asked how you could help me, he said, "I don't know, it's not my problem," and in a very rude tone. He could have shown me the parking lot just across the street. Then he went outside, sat down, and started enjoying herself in a customer-like manner. There's clearly a communication problem. Such staff shouldn't be working in this beautiful hotel. The Dutch are very friendly people. I will come again. I love this country. Thank you. Ali KIR Antalya/Turkey

It's been a long time since we last visited Grand Hotel Valies. The property is in perfect condition and is centrally located in Roermond, with everything within walking distance. We enjoyed the excellent service. Guo Min was a star and made our breakfast a special event. We will be back!

I could not sleep due to a party not ending till around 02:00 in the morning. When I spoke to the staff they said "Next time request a room on the otherside"? ho cares about next time, what about now.
