What a disappointment. This place is not a real hotel, just a couple of rooms in an old building. There’s no elevator all the way up, so get ready to carry your luggage through narrow stairs. When we got to our room, the pillows smelled like ginger, probably from the previous guest’s breath — truly unpleasant. The room doesn’t match the pictures online at all. Light came through a window early in the morning, so forget about sleeping in. There’s even a 40 cm ramp to get to the washroom — uncomfortable and poorly designed. Since this isn’t an actual hotel, don’t expect anyone to be there if you arrive early, late, or need anything during your stay. They make sure to charge you the full amount as soon as you arrive, and after that, you’re on your own. For the price they charge, this is a complete ripoff. I understand Rome can be expensive, but this place feels like a scam. Spend your money somewhere else — there are plenty of real hotels in Rome that actually deliver what they promise.

We really enjoyed staying in this place aside the customer service was indeed excellent and very accomodating! The rooms was very cleaned feels like 5stars hotel. And also my daughter loved the free breakfast in the room different breads and snacks. ❤️ I would definetely recommend this place to all future cruiser or turist to stay in this place.

The room was interesting with a Ferrari driver’s suit right above the bed. The walls were thin and we could hear our neighbors’ entire conversations. Overall though the staff was friendly and helpful and the room served its purpose.

The location was so convenient to restaurants, shopping and buses and cabs. The hotel was cute. The room was very unique, different decor than our friends room. My husband said the bed was too hard but I thought it was fine.

We spent four nights at this hotel, and unfortunately, it was not one of our best experiences. Our room was located right next to the reception area, which turned out to be a major issue. After 6 PM, when the reception was closed, many guests mistakenly tried to enter our room, thinking it was the reception desk due to poor signage. This happened multiple times in the evening and was quite disturbing. In addition, the room was very noisy. We could clearly hear all the conversations and movements of other guests walking through the hotel until late at night, which made it difficult to fall asleep. We also believe our room was located next to a utility or housekeeping room, as we frequently heard the sound of a washing machine running – again, not ideal when you're trying to rest. Another issue was cleanliness. We noticed some small insects in the room, possibly ants, and unfortunately, the towels and bed linen had a strong smell of cooked or fried food. Overall, the cleanliness was not up to our expectations. On a positive note, the air conditioning worked well, and the hotel is in a convenient location for accessing tourist attractions.

This was a great place to stay in Rome. The location was fantastic. Close to a metro stop, and to Fontana di Trevi and Piazza della Spagna. Plus there were plently of places to eat in the area. The room was big and airy. We had a great little terrace that we enjoyed using nightly. My only critiscm would be its on the fourth floor. There is an elevator but only to the 3rd floor, so you will have to carry your bags up and down almost 2 full US flights of steps. Other than that I would highly recommend.

Overall the hotel is very clean, closely located to the Metro. However, we were travelling with our two boys so we had bunk beds. On the last night we were there the whole mattress and the safety railing of the top bunk slid off while our 9 year old was sleeping in it. Luckily he was ok but it needs to be safer.

There were a lot of things, such as dust and particles in the bed and all over. Upon arrival, they didn't have a room, so the receptionist called the owner, and the owner really didn't care. Then they wanted to put us in a small 12m2 room with 3 people, while I paid for a suite for 3 people, 3 beds. It was a bad experience of the whole trip we had in Italy.

What to say... We had 4 rooms here for 1 night and that was more than enough... My friend had a room to herself and had a man banging on her door at 1am and trying to get in her balcony and pounding on the roof. when called the "emergency" number that the hotel provided, they sent a woman with a broom! And they refused to call the police...

First off the property is not easy to find but that’s more related to Rome’s streets. We had a room with a large soaking tub which was very nice (water pressure for tub was low). Space was adequate with a nice shower with great water pressure. The bed was a platform bed and very low to the ground (no where was this mentioned in describing the rooms) my husband and I are both in relatively good shape so this wasn’t an issue for us but it definitely could be for others so be aware. The location was very walkable to restaurants, shopping and attractions.

Place is hard to find. The reception lady is not friendly at all, she doesn’t know how to greet and smile. The kettle is broken, asked to replace but still not working at all. I really want a coffee or tea at night after a tiring day but no where to ask to replace the kettle. Second night still kettle not replaced

Location location location/Five minutes walk from Fontana di Trevi, five minutes walk to Spanish steps. Located in an area where you get access to all the restaurants, shops, and coffee shops. The best place to enjoy Italian lifestyle. Staff is very friendly and professional. Thank you to the staff at Excellence suite for making our stay enjoyable.
