FUFU Hakone

This mountain nestled resort was Devine and all luxury. The staff here was so genuinely kind, sweet and helpful. Being Americans, we had zero issues communicating with the staff. They all went above and beyond to accommodate my friend and I. Dinner here was unreal, we were fortunate to snag a teppanyaki reservation, which was great due to the fact I do not eat raw fish. They noted this down for breakfast the next morning as well, which was included as part of our reservation. The attention to detail was evident at every step of our experience here. The rooms private onsen was incredible after an 8 day trek around Japan. We didn’t even want to leave the rooms. However, the public onsen was stunning and empty each time we went! Open the glass doors, overlook the treetops and listen to the birds and surrounding nature. It was filled with all that you’d need before, during and after a soak- a private locker room, towels, hair ties, blow dryer, hair brushes etc, etc. The facilities were clean, the aesthetic was a dream (an architect and construction professional in our group) and it was really the 1 night reprieve we needed before our journey back to Tokyo and flights home. Thank you Fufu, we plan to do what we now call a “Fufu Challenge” and will come back to Japan and explore your other locations as well. arigato gozaimasu from Hawai’i & NYC 🙏🏻

We absolutely loved this place. The food is amazing and such a lifetime experience. Staff were exceptional and our room was perfect. Loved, loved, loved it here ❤️

Very private and comfortable space, amenities are alittle far away but the resort provides shuttle service to and fro the station or nearby vicinity. Fantastic breakfast as well

We checked in at 430 pm only 1.5 hours after we were allowed to arrive. We planned to stay only one night. We were unable to use the spa as it was fully booked and it does not open until after checkout the next day. In addition they were unable to serve us dinner we had to get room service. There was also only one available slot for breakfast. We basically stayed in our room and ordered room service. Pretty disappointed with our experience but would probably be better with a longer stay.
