Freshly painted very clean but missing some finishing touches. Don’t think they were ready for us only 2 coffee 1 teabag no sugar no toilet paper no outside lightening deck wet and slippery. Not worth the money we paid. Better off in an ibis

Plenty of parking in a secure compound, close to our room; consequently, it was convenient to carry our bags. In addition, it is not a multi-storey hotel, so no endless flights of stairs. The room was spacious and comfortable. The only criticism is that there were no English-speaking channels on the TV. Frequently, on the continent, you get BBC or CNN news.

Very helpful staff. I felt very safe as a soli traveller. Car parking was very good. Lovely big room and en suite, comfy bed. I had an excellent evening meal in the restaurant and breakfast was good. I hope to stay again en route to the ferry

I booked to stay here for one night as it was close to the ferry and we were arriving late. I wasn’t sure what to expect but I was amazed at how great the hotel was. We had a family room with two king size beds, they were incredibly comfortable and we almost didn’t make it to breakfast as we had slept in. Breakfast was really lovely, this was an extra charge but well needed before a long drive. Hotel was really easy to find, free parking available. Staff were lovely

The only drawback was, it said the restaurant/bar was open every day until 10pm on their sign, but we arrived just before 9pm and they were closed. They told us we should have called, which we would have, if we had only known . It's about 10 minutes away from a town center with several places to eat. Very cute spot! Historic!

Was in the Exotique room for one night. Clean, beautifully decorated. Gave 4 stars for Comfort only because there was just a near empty bottle of shower gel and no shampoo. Bed and mattress were super comfy, menu was lumited, which means more fresh things to eat. Super quiet, old nunery-type building tastefully renovated, with lovely courtyard and a hidden garden at the rear.

A mix-up on my booking from Hotels.com. The hotel received a different message than my original booking and thus received a downgraded room. The hotel was fully booked and therefore unable to change much. Each room is themed and individual. First room had black ceiling and walls and no windows - only the doorway for light. Owner did try to assist as much as he could. Managed to change to a lighter and brighter room. It was only one night (before the ferry) so I was happy enough. Restaurant attached was very good.

The room had been an outbuilding. It had no windows and the only light was from a glass door covered in curtains made from what looked like sack cloth. The room had a damp smell and the only way to air it was to leave the door open and sit outside. Luckily the hotel has lots of outside tables . Overnight the bed felt damp. Apart from that the hotel was pretty with pretty gardens and a pleasant restaurant.

Whilst our initial greeting was poor, all other staff were excellent. No access to food or drink during the day was a drawback. The restaurant is run by a private enterprise and the food was lovely.

We had a lovely three night stay here. We arrived late from the ferry but were met o arrival and shown to our room which was spacious, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was tasty and varied. The location was excellent for us to visit the local area

This is a beautifully restored historic property with wonderful courtyard gardens, some being revamped now - love the addition of bean bags and table/chairs in many of the outdoor places. Highly recommended and so close to ferry terminal of Ouistrehan

Perfect location. Beautiful building. Our room was in the separate annexe, less beautiful, but clean and comfortable. Loved the ‘jungle decor’ in the room. We ate in the restaurant a couple of times and enjoyed both meals. Good friendly service.

e have stayed before and generally been pleased. This time, however, we received the most discourteous treatment at checkout. Our mistake was to assume we could check out early, around 7.10am, which was clearly unacceptable. We would gladly have settled the remainder of our bill the night before had we been asked! We certainly had no intention of inconveniencing anyone. Very disappointed that we, as returning clients, should have been treated so disrespectfully. Will not return.

Staff and dinner excellent. Bathroom large and well equipped but no extractor. Booked as stayed last year and was impressed with given room. This time placed in soulless annex 100 yards from restored manoir. Empty large reception bar area on entry and basic mismatched decor everywhere. Our room had badly painted walls, damaged furniture, rush mats on floor, dirty kettle with only 1 milk and 2 coffee sachets. Sadly will not return.

The hotel itself is very nice and at first look our room looked ok. When entering there was a strong smell of chemicals which I assumed was down to cleaning if the room. Howevet when we got in bed the room started to smell badly if drains and this got worse as the night went on. It was obvious they had tried to mask the smell of the drains. There was also a leak under the sink in the bathroom. I chose this hotel for it's convenience if vicinity to the ferry port and the good review's. However the room I was given was very poor which was a disappointing end to our holiday.

The check in was quick and straightforward , the receptionist was happy and helpful, and we made a reservation for the hotel restaurant. The room was compact but clean and had very comfortable beds so great for 1 night before an early ferry. The meal in the restaurant was delicious and served by the same lady whi was on reception. She was so busy dealing with both restaurant and reception, but she handled it very well and remained calm and professional and made time to talk to the customers. I am sorry i can not remember your name but i hope you downloaded the language app and continue learning. This lady was a credit to the hotel. We would definitely use if we were in the area again.

Even better than it looked in the photos. A very remarkable place for the price. Superb room with old features, but modern fittings. Super comfortable bed. Great staff. We had a meal in the restaurant and that too was excellent.. Perfect for the ferry or your Normadi D-Day tours. Pegasus bridge is 5 mins walks and there are 2 bakeries and 2 bars nearby...
