We liked the location of the hotel as it was only a short walk into Sarandë centre on an evening, but also far enough out to avoid the noise and crowds. The hotel is generally very well presented, with plenty of sunbeds either by the pool or on the beach. The buffet breakfast was very nice, with some good variety to select from. The staff were the standout feature to this hotel. They were so kind, warm and welcoming 🙏. They were always there to help and the bar and resteraunt staff were so friendly and helpful. The main negative for us was the relatively small size of the standard double room. The bed took up most of the space, leaving very little room for anything else. This meant the room became to feel quite claustrophobic after a few nights. We had a sea view balcony which i would definitely say is worth paying extra for as the balconys at the back of the hotel just look onto other buildings and seemed to get limited light or sunshine. All in all, i would recommend this hotel but only for 3 to 4 nights, unless staying in an upgraded suite.

I don’t usually even write reviews but I felt I needed to here. Our stay at the San Angelo hotel was extremely disappointing. From the start, the facilities were in terrible condition – the sunbeds were all ripped, filthy, and clearly not maintained. The phone in our room didn’t even work, making it impossible to contact reception, though that hardly mattered since no one seemed available to help anyway. The room itself was dirty: the towels were stained, the floor hadn’t been cleaned properly as there were other people’s hair on the floor, and the bed design was ridiculous – surrounded by stone edges that made it painful to get in and out. The toilet leaked and was soaking the floor. There is also not a TV in the part of the room where the bed is which was very odd and useless. Breakfast was abysmal. There were flies crawling over the fruit and food, which was left uncovered. The selection was poor, and there were no diary-free or gluten-free options at all. Entertainment was equally dreadful – the singer was completely off-key and made it unpleasant to sit through. There were also really loud sounds which sounded like people were moving chairs at 1-3am and then again in the morning as the staff were setting up breakfast at 6am. Overall, this hotel was a huge letdown. Definitely NOT a 5* hotel. The overall feel is very cheap. Poor hygiene, terrible food, and uncomfortable rooms. I would not recommend staying here.

I stayed at San Angelo Hotel with my friend Daniella and we had such a fantastic experience. From the start, the staff were so accommodating and always ready to help with anything we needed. Obed and Samuel looked after us brilliantly at mealtimes, and Joseph was especially kind and accommodating to Daniella, he really looked out for her and made sure she was comfortable throughout our stay. Helen and Caroline on reception were so friendly and gave us excellent recommendations, while Sule and Victoria kept our room spotless and always greeted us warmly. What really touched us was the free lift to the Sarandë bus station at the end of our stay, such a thoughtful gesture that shows how much they care about their guests. Sarandë itself is absolutely beautiful, and this hotel made our time there even more special. We truly felt at home, and I’d highly recommend San Angelo Hotel to anyone visiting.

This is a gem away with the most gorgeous sea views and sexy vibe. We felt very welcome . The infinity pool is so pretty. A 15 minute walk from ferry and 15 min walk to the boardwalk with nightlife. Complimentary breakfast was delicious. We would return here in a heartbeat.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff were warm and welcoming, always ready to help with anything I needed. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained with everything I could ask for. The location was perfect—close to all the main attractions yet quiet enough for a relaxing stay. The breakfast was fresh and had plenty of options to choose from. Overall, a fantastic experience—I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others.

Overall a good hotel but starting to get tired the rooms have dodgy electrics - the sunbeds are dirty and torn and the pool towels are old - the pool area is lovely with great views but the decking is starting to turn and become uneven with screws sticking out. The music round the pool is loud so don’t come if you don’t like that. The pool bars are good but the food and drink are overpriced. 15 min walk I to the centre which is quite tacky

Really enjoyed our stay at San Angelo. Staff were always friendly and helpful and facilities were good. Our room overlooked the pool which we enjoyed until the DJs performed and there is no sound proofing in the room. Cocktail selection was excellent at the bar and the private beach was very comfortable. It is only a short walk into town and has bars and restaurants close by. The breakfast could do with some improvement, quite basic.

Pros: Great location, great view. Staff is friendly. Breakfast is good. Everything went smooth. Room is great. Cons: Parking ramp is so steep and parking area is not in good condition. Sauna ( more like steam shower ) is a bit disappointing. Other than that, everthing was great.

We chose San Angelo Luxury Resort & Spa – Adults Only because it is advertised as a five-star hotel with the highest standards and a peaceful environment for adults. Unfortunately, our stay was far from this. Upon check-in, our room was unclean: hair everywhere, dirty floors, stains on shower walls, and soiled pillowcases and sheets. The reception coldly claimed the room had just been cleaned. A second “cleaning” made no difference, and the same issues continued throughout our stay. Sheets and towels were often forgotten, and the staff showed no interest in resolving problems. The hotel and beach were dirty; food waste, glass, and bottles were left for days. Pools and loungers were stained and damaged, and beach towels smelled musty. Elevators were sticky and filthy. Breakfast, which was supposed to start at 7 am, was nearly empty, and we waited over an hour for the full breakfast to be served. Despite the Adults Only policy, we repeatedly saw children at the pool and the “private” beach. Outside guests were allowed in, and we were even asked to give up our loungers. Vendors constantly disturbed the supposed relaxation. At check-out, we asked to use a room to shower before our late flight but were refused. Instead, we were offered a substandard basement “spa” with shared showers and a view of the parking lot. Coincidentally, other guests complaining the same day were offered a different room, which we had been denied.

One of the worst experiences I've had when it comes to service. Apart from one receptionist who always smiled, greeted me, and was very kind, unfortunately the rest of the staff were not particularly friendly. I was corrected multiple times in a condescending tone for how I ordered coffee (except for one bartender who was nice). People didn’t greet you, and on the beach, some acquaintances of the staff showed up with very loud music, showing no consideration for the other guests. At one point, I accidentally went behind the reception desk area, and the receptionist shouted “Hey, hey!” at me in a rude tone, as if I was about to steal something. Otherwise, the hotel was okay. The room was clean, we got fresh towels every day, and there were free sunbeds and beach towels. The beach area could have been cleaner – some of the cushions were just thrown around, and there was quite a bit of trash around the sunbeds. In the water, there were a lot of large rocks that could easily injure someone – these could have been removed. The breakfast had very little variety, but what they did have was good. I only ate dinner there once – they had run out of what I wanted, so I ended up with some tacos that were just okay. The massage was very good and reasonably priced. I originally planned to stay one more night, but the poor service ruined the vibe completely, so I chose to move to Dream Hotel just 50 m away. I had stayed at Apollon Hotel (also 50m away) before moving to San Angelo (100%)

The hotel is fresh, stylish, and perfect for a relaxing and peaceful vacation. The rooms were clean, cozy, and very comfortable – the bed and pillows were incredibly soft and made it easy to get a great night’s sleep! The pool area is beautiful and calm, and the poolside service was truly exceptional – a special thank you to Arli and Josef who were super friendly, attentive, and really made our days by the pool extra enjoyable! We’d also like to give a big shoutout to the three girls at the reception – always smiling, helpful, and professional. All the staff we met were kind and welcoming, and we felt right at home from the very beginning. We highly recommend San Angelo Luxury Resort – Adults Only, and we’d love to come back! We booked this hotel for 9nights, looking for a quiet and relaxing adults only hotel. The hotel's own website advertises it as 'our resort is designed to provide guests with a relaxing and rejuvenating experience' and this was just what we needed. This hotel does not live up to its own description. When we arrived we were checked in and went up to our room, amazing views across the pool to the sea, on the surface it was lovely. We grabbed our stuff and headed down to the pool side, to relax... This vibe was short lived, within an hour a DJ had set up and the music was unbearably loud! The music could be heard across the whole hotel, and all the way down to the beach, there was nowhere to escape it! Even in our room the music was so loud, I took a recording on a decibel reader, it registered at 100bD, IN OUR ROOM WITH THE DOOR CLOSED!!!!! We were promised by all the staff, including the hotel manager, that this was a one off and the 'serenity in Sarande' would return tomorrow, this was not the case! EVERYDAY without fail the volume of the music ramped up at 2pm and continued until 8pm, it was honestly unbearable! There was no respite... We spoke to the manager on numerous occasions about the noise and the fact that we had only booked the hotel because of their own advertising, she offered us champagne and lunch, neither of which we took, as to be honest the only thing that would have made the situation better was the volume dial being turned down!

I loved the hotel’s beautiful boho style and I had stunning views of the private pool and beach from my room. The room was a bit smaller than expected but cozy. Breakfast had good options and hot drinks. I also ordered lunch, which was delicious, though the chef wasn’t open to any dish changes which can be difficult as a vegetarian. The hotel felt relaxed and never crowded, with plenty of sunbeds, but drinks service by the beach was slow. There’s no gym, but the spa looked new. The location is a short walk from the port, though I’d recommend a taxi if you have heavy luggage. The hotel had a beach club vibe to it though the music never felt too loud. My room was near the lifts / stairwell, so I was woken a few times by late guests. Overall, I’d recommend this hotel for a luxury beach getaway. The hotel is great with a beautiful private beach. It is within walking distance from the city’s boardwalk. Staff were great and the room with ocean view amazing. We saw 1 or 2 children during our stay in an “adults only hotel” that is the only reason we are giving 4 instead of 5 stars.

Walls in rooms scuffed. Should have been repainted. Couldn’t get WiFi on any of our three balconies. Staff at mealtimes did not come to us. We had to go to them. Annoying.

The hotel and facilities were outstanding. But I did not like the LOUD music playing almost all the time. Started maybe at 11am continuing until maybe midnite. Not sure on the times, but closing the doors and windows did not help. Nothing to do with the hotel because it's like this all over Albania, but smoking in the public areas was annoying. Did not get the room I booked, Panorama Junior Suite Sea View. She said I booked that general category, not that room, but she switched me to correct room when I complained. The website is VERY misleading.

The hotel communal spaces were great, the pool area and private beach were beautiful and well looked after. The hotel location was great, just a short 10 minute walk to lovely restaurants and amenities. our sea view room had a perfect view and looked over the pool and beach area. The rooms were however quite small and not much storage space for clothes etc and the shower overflows into the rest of the bathroom. The breakfast was disappointing, there weren’t many options and the food provided wasn’t as good as what we would expect from a hotel that visually is as lovely as this one. Overall a lovely hotel, however we feel that a few areas need improvement.

Suites were amazing with a great view of the pool and sea. Very clean and modern rooms. I loved the tub in my room & the rainfall shower was pretty large. I did not like that my suite had a shared balcony; so the staff found me another room with 2 private balconies. The staff is great and super responsive. They will provide excellent customer service to ensure your visit is pleasant. Highly recommend! Be sure to check out the 2 pools, bar, and private beach. 10/10
