What a great place to stay. We highly recommend it!
Breakfast was excellent. Christina, our breakfast waitress was outstanding. Lots of breakfast choices. The breakfast room was very nice and the table in the window bay was special.
Our room was spacious, and the kitchen amenities were complete. There was a small table where we could sit looking on the back garden. The bathroom was also spacious and well done. The decor in the condition of everything was amazing given the age of the building. Someone has worked really hard to maintain it so well. The lobby area had good seating and a variety. And it was neat that they had a bar where you could get a beer or a drink sitting right there.
The location of Hedley house worked so well for us. Within an easy walking distance of a grocery, The Shambles, the York Minster, the national Railroad Museum, and a variety of other things to do.
We look forward to returning here and staying at Hedley House again!

This hotel has such a lovely homely and cosy vibe, the staff were really friendly and welcoming. Room was extremely spacious and very comfy beds. Breakfast was additional £8 which we'd recomend. One of us was vegan and they had plenty on offer with porridge, dairy free milks, chocolate spread, sausages ect.

Always a friendly stay, lovely garden out back to relax and very near to the city centre, they upgraded my room without asking and served a lovely breakfast. I used the handy gym out back in the morning and also had a cheeky nana nap and a couple of beers in their landscaped garden. I defo recommend staying here for a nice change to a typical standard premier inn etc experience. You really must read the Hotel guide in the room absolutely fantastic and funny.
