Marishka is very accomodating. Top notched hospitality. She is the best. The room is also great comfortable beddings. And the best jacuzzi.

Really wish that a spa resort Hotel had an adult only pool, hot tub and sauna... Booked an adult girls trip for a couple nights away and the hotel pool area was overrun with screaming splashing children jumping from the hottub into the pool and jumping from upper to lower pool... No opportunity for relaxing. The heat in our room also wasn't working properly, we had to call for repair. We thought there was a continental breakfast, but there was none.

The room was somewhat clean. Body wash, shampoo and conditioner not refilled. We didn’t receive complimentary water, which has not been the case in the past. My son spilled juice on the carpet. When we wiped it up with a towel, the towel was black. Carpets in desperate need of cleaning. Cracked tiles in the shower. No free breakfast please provided, which we were aware of before arriving. Three floors were occupied by hockey players who were out of control and the staff did little to address. We had to leave the pool twice because of the hockey players and their parents failing to supervise them.

We’ve stayed at this DoubleTree on a number of occasions before. Room is clean, comfortable, and relatively quiet. Was definitely not a fan of the $35 parking charge. This is for outdoor, non-covered self-parking. Might have felt a little better about it if they actually used some of that $$ to maintain the lot. It was ice-covered and not salted. We didn’t eat at the restaurant this time, but we have had dinner at Buchanan’s before and it was a good alternative to the Keg.

The pool area was chaotic. Kids jumping into the hot tub…..canon balls into the bigger pool. splashing all the tables and chairs on the pool deck. A kid jumped right on my in the pool. Really dangerous behaviour. Assuming the parents were in the room but ….

On the second day of us staying there, the maid came in and only changed the garbage and gave us towel towels. Did not clean up anything else such as the shower or the toilet nor did she make the beds

Marissa who checked us in was fantastic at correcting an issue before it became a problem. She was professional and empathetic to our situation. We needed adjoining rooms and I was told it would be no problem. When we arrived it was not booked that way. Marissa fixed it .

Staff was the highlight of our stay. Everyone was professional, courteous, and attentive and made us feel comfortable and relaxed. Never stayed at a Doubletree hotel before but this stay made new fans out of us. Will look for Doubletree for future stays.
