Older property near beach but with no beach amenities like chairs, lounges or towels. Pool was small and underground, seemed like an afterthought. Rooms were large but older. Paid for lateral sea view but this was a waste, can't see beach or water through the trees. Bath/shower combo was dangerous for us and anyone with reduced mobility or muscle tone. There was a hand hold but our greatest concern was falling in the tub. Overall, large room but over priced, did not receive value we were hoping for.

My husband and I decided to go to Binz after we got off a Baltic cruise and we lved it. The Dorint was on the beach promenade and although the beach itself was too cold for us US Southerners, we walked a lot on the promenade. The hotel was a perfect location and the staff was friendly and helpful and the hotel was clean and with great amenities and location, only a short walk from the train station.

The hotel was better than expected. Location was very good. The service at the hotel was splendid and the room was clean and well prepared. A lovely breakfast. Also convenient with a parking hall under the hotel with direct access to the hotell. Would like staying there another time. This was good.

Rooms enormous we had large bedroom and lounge, spa downstairs great for a swim (indoors) or minutes from sea for swim. Breakfast lots of choice buffet and endless coffee. 5 mins walk from railway station.

Rugen is a long trip from the UK but worth it. Binz is a gem, blue sea, white band, very well kept attractive town. The narrow gauge railway runs through the town and this is clearly a major tourist attraction. The room was a surprise having a separate lounge. A shame that it didn't have a sea view but that is a very minor point. The hotel is located on the pro made with direct access to the beach with Baltic deckchairs and nearby beach bar. The hotel has all the facilities including a smokers lounge - a nice touch for those of us that still have the habit but separate enough that it wouldn't cause a problem to non-smokers. Helpful friendly staff, good breakfast choice. There is an underground car park and there are also parks nearby.
