Horrendous customer service, absolute nightmare, extremely disappointed

A horror story of a booking that left me and my daughter locked out of the hotel room we have booked, in the freezing cold and with all other hotels closed for the night. I requested late check-in and the hotel confirmed and sent check-in instructions. We arrived 30 min earlier than planned, just 30 min after the reception closing time, to find all doors locked, our key safe empty, with no one answering the bell, no one answering the phone, and calls going to voicemail. It was dark, all other hotels were also closed, -10 degrees C, I was panicking that we'd be stuck outside in the cold for the night! In the end, we were extremely lucky to have found a hotel that agreed to stay open for an extra 10 minutes for us to reach it and get a room for the night. We have never heard from Hotel Deutsche Flagge with an apology, no acknowledgement, no message at all. Unthinkable!

60 eur for 1 night parking

There were parking available there, but I was not allowed to park. I was told to park next door in parking t hat belongs to EDEKA, but I wasnt told about the cost. in the end I had to pay 56 eur for 1 night of parking and the parking auto pay accepts only cash, and there is only a sparkasse and volks bank there, I had to withdraw and pay additional 5 eur for the wothdrawal cost. then I was charged 13 euro for rubbish, I dont know they call it tourist cards, I arrived at night and left in the morn ing at 10 am. but I paid for tourist card for 2 days, 14 euro. which I didnt use at all. wifi is not free, it comes with the tourist cards, but we were not told. only as I am leaving I found that out. all in all, never again to this unattractive and small city and never again to this hotel for sure. All the restaurants needed booking. as I arrived late, I only could get some random and untasty pizza. dont go to this city and dont go to this hotel or know what you are getting yourself into

A lovely hotel near the beach with parking

Hotel is situated close to the beach (10 min walk), grocery store and to a lot of restaurants. You can park your car in the parking behind the hotel. Hotel offers its own restaurant. It has beautiful interior decor with ship theme. You have to pay also a city tax for each day and by that, you will receive coupons to go to the beach.

There is no elevator to upper floors. The room is missing an air-conditioner. The room door has opened even though it was closed (not locked).

Great place, relaxing, would happily stay there again

Traditional style hotel, large rooms, high ceilings. Very comfortable. Staff are great, cheerful, very helpful. My 2nd 2 night stay within 2 weeks, room 101 the first time, and room 109 this time

Very nice hotel

Very nice hotel. Located quite close to the beach and promenade, 15 minutes walk from the main trainstation, close to shops, bars and restaurants. The decoration might be old style, but it's very clean, the staff is friendly, the breakfast buffet is good. All in all a very good hotel with fair prices.

Nice place for a weekend

The hotel is a great position, very close to the beach. The room was big, and the breakfast very good. The hotel provide beach and bus ticket to use the facilities for free.

The room was at the third floor, but there were no elevator.

Traditional guest house in the heart of Binz

If you are visiting Binz or other places on Rugen I assume staying in one of the more traditional hotels like Deutsche Flagge - or guest houses adds to the experience. Very handy to the Ostseebad and the center of Binz and a relatively short walk to the Rushing Roland narrow gauge train.

Proper toiletries not just a 3 in one gel. It didn't appear to be very busy so a room with a view would have been nice.

In wenigen Schritten am Wasser, Gutes Essen im Haus. Man geht auf Sonderwünsche (Allergien) ein. Alles fußläufig gut erreichbar

Es waren sehr angenehme Tage mit meinem Sohn, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Die Lage ist sehr gut gelegen, es war auch sehr ruhig. Das Personal war sehr nett und freundlich, immer ein Lächeln im Gesicht. Parkplatz direkt am Haus. Frühstück war immer ausreichend und abwechslungsreich. Also nur weiter zu empfehlen.

Schade damit das Haus keine Zimmer mit Balkon hat.

Sehr saubere Unterkunft mit großem Zimmer und bequemen Betten.

Die Sauberkeit war hervorragend. Die Lage ist gut- man ist innerhalb weniger Minuten an der Promenade und am Strand. Das Zimmer ist groß und das Bett fanden wir gemütlich. Die Verdunklungsvorhänge waren sehr angenehm. Die Angestellten waren sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Auf dem Zimmer gibt es einen sauberen Wasserkocher mit Instantkaffee und Tee.

Das Zimmer war etwas hellhörig- man hörte die Zimmernachbarn die ganze Nacht husten. Aber das war ok. Das Frühstück war ebenfalls ok. Etwas wenig Auswahl. Wir wurden satt und der Kaffe war sehr lecker für mich.

Es war schön mit kleinen Mängeln.Dennoch möchten wir nicht wiederkommen.

Frühstück war ok.Aber für ein Hotel etwas dürftig.Das Rührei war grau und Eier gab es nur weiche.Da ich persönlich aber nur hartgekochte esse. Das Zimmer war völlig ausreichend.Allerdings sind die Betten extrem weich. duschekopf ist sehr weit unten und lies sich in unserem Zimmer nicht verstellen. Die Lage vom Hotel ist perfekt.

Uns hat nicht gefallen, dass das Hotelrestaurant um 21 Uhr zugemacht hat und somit nochmal ausser Haus musste, wenn man einen Cocktail, Bier oder ähnliches trinken wollte.
