Great location, clean and super nice friendly staff. The only downside was a very slow, small elevator. We were on the 5th floor and with luggage it was a long wait sometimes for the lift. We walked down but going up was a hassle.

Pleasant staff. Floor had sand left on it. Rooms need air conditioning, it was too hot and had difficulty sleeping. Shower head would not stay in place, kept falling down. No where to put your things in the shower. On the plus side they have a lock up garage for bikes.

Very nice hotel in the centre of old/tourist area. Walk from the train is about 15 minutes. Otherwise all the restaurants, the ramparts and all the tourist stuff is right next door so you can pop in your room any time if you forget something, etc. Two comments: the water in the shower is set to a certain maximum to avoid the waste I think. So it was coldish and rainy during my visit and I would like hotter water to warm up. In the sink the water gets really hot. Second: I put "do not disturb" sign meaning no housekeeping and the chambermaid wanted still to go in and clean.

We greatly enjoyed our one night at Hôtel des Marins, and more importantly, the town of Saint-Malo. Lots of dining options around, even during the low season of March. Would highly recommend.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff is very nice and friendly, and there was a bathtub in my room, which was perfect. The hotel is located at very central in the old city area so it’s so easy to walk around. I’d definitely come back to this hotel!!

Check in was very poor. Event going on in town and all public parking full. Asked to use hotel car park but was told my 4.9m long Jaguar was too long (later saw much larger Audi in car park!! Was told to go to public car park (which was full). Solved problem by leaving and returning two hours later. SO CHECK IN TOOK ME TWO HOURS!! I took a good look at car park and no way was I too long!!

Love this hotel. Second year in a row i stayed here. Great location, tons of dining options in area. Nice rooms, friendly staff.

Stayed just one night before morning ferry. Very clean and comfortable. Close to main parking. Arrive after 7 and leave before 9 and the parking is free. Only one negative, poor breakfast compared even to ibis, not good value at all
