Room had a weird smell, front lobby couches had the pleather peeling off, and the security guard at night was half asleep at the front desk. Parked our car there and took shuttle to airport and was told to just call when we got back, had to call 4 times and kept being told he had left already. Called at 10:50 pm was told he would be there by 11. Never showed up till 11:30. Do not rely upon them for their shuttle service getting back.

Friendly and efficient check in. Clean room, but in need of some maintenance (particularly power outlets). The bed frame had a sharp bracket that irritated my leg each time I sat down or stood up from the bed. Appropriately priced budget friendly hotel near airport for a one night stay

Did not expect a $150 deposit, we had stayed there many times, never payed over $25 deposit. Hotel has convenient location, but doesn't warrant the deposit.

The shuttle service was good. The one that picked me up from the airport was a very nice looking black van.(in the dark, outwardly classy looking) It certainly was a false start‼️ I was exhausted, all I wanted was a shower and bed‼️ The bathtub was dirty, the rubber bath mat inside the tub looked like it had never been picked up and cleaned on it and under it⁉️ Needless to say, I did not shower. When I pulled back the covers, Truly, the sheets looked like they had not been changed‼️ As squeamish as I am, I was too tired to call or go back to the desk ( I was just returning from the death of my close friend ) so I picked one of the three “sofa size” pillows to rest my head on and slept fully clothed on top of the sheets‼️ This experience totally grossed me out‼️‼️‼️ ‼️ I DO “NOT” RECOMMEND‼️

I liked the breakfast menu and the bed was comfortable. Staff was courteous. Unfortunately, the toilet paper dispenser was broken, there was a spider in the tub, and I woke up in the middle of a night to a guest knocking in my door and claiming it was her room. I told her it was the wrong room number.

Hotel was just right for an overnight stay after a 500 mile drive and then an outbound flight at DTW early next morning. Shuttle was very clean and efficient to get me to McNamara terminal. If you don’t need ‘bells and whistles ‘ it’s a great deal.

First they wouldn’t give us breakfast in the morning saying I booked through a 3rd party which I’ve never heard of that in my life. I paid $225 for the room $150 Cash deposit all cash transactions. I check out Sunday June 22nd 2025 and they say I owe $30 of cash deposit because of rose pedal marks on the sheets which comes out easily when washed. Just a whole rip off wouldn’t recommend staying at their hotel ever again!! Highly disappointed. And when leaving the front desk clerk older lady got into it with my wife very unprofessional acting as if she was a teenager.

Good afternoon, I hope this message finds you well. I’m writing to share a recent and very disappointing experience I had during my stay at the Clarion Hotel in Romulus, MI. As someone who has stayed at this location multiple times without issue, I felt it was important to reach out directly before posting a public review on your website and on Hotels.com. I checked in on Wednesday, May 7th. Upon arrival, Audrey at the front desk provided exceptional service—she was friendly, accommodating, and assisted me with an early check-in. She was the highlight of this stay and deserves recognition. Unfortunately, things quickly deteriorated on the second day. On Thursday, May 8th, I discovered severe ceiling damage in my room. Pieces of ceramic from the ceiling—likely due to water damage—fell to the floor and into my travel bag, getting onto my clothing. I reported this immediately to the front desk, where a gentleman (possibly a manager) said he would come inspect the room. He never did. Adding to the concern, I was traveling with a 6-year-old autistic child, and this situation could have posed a safety risk. Despite repeated reports, no one came to clean the debris until late that evening—around 9 or 10 p.m.—after we had already put the child to bed. A maintenance worker briefly looked at the ceiling, acknowledged the damage, and said he’d return to clean up. He never did. The room was never cleaned, no one followed up, and the issue remained unresolved for the duration.

The price was right, it was nice that it has a grill and bar on the site, and a convenience store very close. Clean and friendly. Only trouble is their policy not to give people who use Hotels.com or other online reservation the free breakfast. The guy at the desk waived the policy for me, but I think it’s a bad policy that could give them less than perfect reviews.

Very clean stay I stayed in the king non-smoking room and was a very reasonable price. Also seems like it was newly renewed and walking distance to various restaurants and gas station. Also a shuttle to the airport!

No frills hotel, don’t expect anything fancy, but the rooms were relatively clean and well appointed. I am not sure if it was just our room, or the property in general, but the toilet was very slow. There are a few quick eat options near the hotel. For a place to sleep before an early flight it did the trick.
