A perfect overnight stay

It was a delightful discovery in a quaint village by the river. The property was beautifully maintained and the house was grand and tastefully furnished. Beautiful views across the gardens down to the river and beyond. Breakfast was plentiful with fresh eggs from their chickens and home made banana bread - very tasty - along with the usual continental fare. The hosts were friendly and welcoming but not intrusive.

Our room was on the second floor up two fairly steep (but rather beautiful) staircases, which may not suit some visitors.

What an amazing and special location. A B&B with attention to detail and classy. Lovely terrace with view over the river and large garden. 100yds to town centre yet secluded and quiet. Attentive hosts and quality breakfast. House has great decor, a combination of classic style and new comforts and an excellent start to our holiday.

Violaine and Pierre are perfect hosts and cooks. The location is perfect for voyagers. The house is gorgeous, spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. The parking is secure. Supper was delicious and very reasonably priced. Perfect! We’ll be back!

Beautiful quiet location with lovely hosts.

We received a very warm welcome. This is a beautiful property with exceptional views across the valley and the river Sarthe. It was lovely to be served drinks on the terrace overlooking the river on a nice balmy evening. Safe private parking and village facilities within easy walking distance. Breakfast was extensive and very good and the rooms comfortable with lovely views. A lovely quiet location and a great place to break a journey across France.

Perfect hosts, 10/10, what hospitality is all about.

We loved everything, faultless - Thank you!!! Violaine was the perfect host, who when asked, even had time to give me a top tip for anyone starting out in hospitality : “treat your guests like your family”. Peter the ‘small’ (junior) chef, was charm personified…and a great cook😉. Betty, the Frenchie added to the charm and was the cherry on the cake. Brilliant stay, we will be back for sure!

Beautiful house in a great location. Charming host what more would you want.

The location was perfect, a short stroll into the charming centre with its shops and bars. The winding medieval streets take you to the remains of the Castle or down to the river. So pretty, friendly and like our accommodation ozzing with character. Our room looked over the river, was spacious, clean and had everything we wanted. The bed was cosy and the shower was easy to use. Loads of parking was an added bonus. We had a large selection of yummy things for breakfast including eggs, ham, local cheese and a special rillette from the local butcher. Sitting on the terrace with a glass of wine overlooking the gardens and the river was perfect after a long drive.

Only downside was not staying for longer.

Emplacement paisible et magnifique au bord de la Sarthe, bâtisse très propre et restaurée avec raffinement, décoration intérieure recherchée et élégante, propriétaire plus que courtoise ! De belles promenades à faire dans ce joli village de caractère est encore un plus !

Un week-end parfait comme on le souhaitait : calme, paysages magnifiques, ambiance reposante et conviviale

La vue sur la Sarthe depuis la chambre est à couper le souffle. Se réveiller devant un tel spectacle permet un apaisement complet des plus agréables. Concernant la maison, celle-ci est très bien située, à quelques minutes à pieds du centre et des boutiques. Nous avons été très bien accueillis par les propriétaires qui sont d’une très grande gentillesse et toujours avec le sourire. Ils sont disponibles pour discuter avec vous et vous conseiller sur les choses à faire dans la région. Pour le petit déjeuner, rien à dire. Les viennoiseries et le pain sont frais et très bons. Il y a un buffet avec plusieurs options salées et sucrées. Entre les produits locaux et les desserts maisons, il est difficile de ne pas se régaler. Si vous êtes dans la région, vous devez passer là-bas, vous ne le regretterez absolument pas :)

Superbe étape dans le cadre d’un séjour aux 24h du Mans. Hôtes accueillants, calme, chambre avec vue magnifique sur la Sarthe, aménagements de bon goût, très bon petit déjeuner. Parking clos. Toutes commodités à proximité.

Prachtige locatie voor een tussenstop of voor een paar nachten. Mooie schone kamers met heerlijke bedden. Goed verzorgd ontbijt en een hele vriendelijke gastvrouw. De locatie is prachtig. Mooi uitzicht vanuit de tuin, vriendelijk ontvangst met een drankje. Neem zeker even de tijd om naar het dorpje te wandelen en de brocante winkeltjes te bezoeken. Echt een aanrader!
