Retreat Hot Tub Highland Cabin

We loved the quiet, the covered outdoor space and hot tub! The Bluetooth speaker was a welcome addition! The goodies on arrival, especially the bread, was a lovely touch!

Just a suggestion but we would have liked another set of utensils and some bigger glasses! But we generally had everything we needed.

Peace and quiet

A really lovely little cabin, with a great diesel powered hot tub, that was easy to operate. We had two nights and it was very relaxing. The cabin is just right for a couple, with a very comfortable bed, a pod coffee machine and even a freshly baked loaf is provided. There's milk and butter in the fridge as well.

All in all, we had a lovely relaxing stay and it would have been perfect but for poor disabled access. I can't walk more than a few steps and need a scooter or wheelchair. My husband assembled my scooter but the paths are covered with deep chuckies (chippings) meaning that it's almost impossible to drive a scooter or push a wheelchair. If the paths were tarmac instead this would be a perfect place to stay. As it is currently we will not be able to go back as I was unable to leave the cabin during our stay and my husband had to drag the scooter up the slope to get back to the car.

A very nice welcome, in a superb location, very peaceful. The hot tub warms up from cold in 1hr 45 but as long as you put the lid on after every use it stays warm overnight then heats up in minutes the nxt day.

A bit sparce on kitchen equipment crockery cutlery etc, means washing up and putting away after each use, which is no big issue, but more would be better. No tin opener. The frying pan needs replacing as it is curved on the bottom so barely touches the electric hob. BUT would I come here again.....in a heartbeat yes.
