The location was ok, nice and quiet, just outside Drumnadrochit. The property was clean and beds ok.
The accommodation was not what we expected from the description on booking.com when we booked it. It was described as a chalet with 2 bedrooms, a kitchen, and bathroom for £144 for the one night. They had other smaller accommodation available for £117 for one night but we wanted something with a bit more space and actual bedrooms so went for the larger chalet at £144. When we arrived on site the accommodation we’d been given was one of the smaller ‘chalets’ which was basically a shed! It just had a double bunk bed, single bed and a small double bed all in one room with a poor excuse for a kitchen with no cooker or microwave, just a kettle, toaster, sink and fridge. The actual cooking facilities were shared facilities in the bunkhouse lodge which they unlock at meal times. When we booked the ‘chalet’ there were no pictures of our exact accommodation on the booking page, just vague photos of various parts of the different types of accommodation that they have available. There were no smoke alarms in the accommodation or fire extinguisher in case of fire and no signage showing fire assembly points. The accommodation didn’t seem to be particularly insulated, there were no chairs or sofas to sit on just beds, a bathroom and a few kitchen units and fridge with toaster and kettle. No where in the description did it say there were no cooking facilities in the accommodation itself and that should you wish to cook a meal you had to use a shared kitchen in the bunkhouse lodge. There was no parking near the chalets so we had to walk up a steep grass bank which was wet and slippery as there was no proper path from the car park to the chalets and no lighting outside so can only imagine how dangerous it would be getting from the car to the chalets in the dark. It was too uncomfortable for us to spend the night and that along with the fact there was no fire safety present in the accommodation, we left without spending the night.

The lodge was clean and well presented and the staff were very warm and welcoming.
Everything was up to a good standard for what I paid so I can’t complain.

Beautiful Location. Room was clean and comfortable and staff were friendly and welcoming.
Only issue we had was a birthday party going on into the small hours with lots of noise which kept us awake most of the night. Would still recommend.

Cute cabin that works for a tight knit group of friends. Small but workable
Hard to get to town if you don’t have a car but easy to get to.

It's located in a pretty rural area.
The host is nice,
The place is run down.
Parking very far from the accommodations.
No amenities, only hand soap.
Just a step up from camping.
Could do with better cleaning. Dirty on mirrors and kitchen sink. Very unkempt place and surrounds.
Terrible beds. Woke up with sore back.
Definitely too expensive for what they offer.

Nothing
1) The water had a tinge, with moss and not a great shower experience
2) The place has got lot and lots more of mosquitoes especially at dusk, a billion of them maybe…wasn’t able to even stand outside for a few minutes
3) Shower water drain is connected to the exterior leaver in the toilet area that we need to pull for draining the water during showers
4) The place is so interior and old.

Emilio was pleasant and helpful in suggesting hike to nearby waterfall, places to have dinner. Appreciated that when I accidentally dialed Lodge via WhatsApp, host sent Emilio to our room to see that all was OK with my husband and I
Hated the 4-poster bed, both of us. Awkward getting in/out of it. Room and lodge was the most basic of 6 nights’ stay. Parking was haphazard. Noise from others staying in lodge could be heard past 9:30 and before 8 a.m.
7+ minutes from time of arrival to getting access to our room. Squirrely location away from town.

Beautiful settings and friendly staff.
Room walls thin so we could hear the communal area pretty well.

Excellent location close to Loch Ness and Jacobite Cruises. Quiet surroundings.
When booking I wasn't aware that the picture shown was NOT the lodge where we would be staying. In fact our 'lodge' was basically 1 room with a double, single & bunk beds to accommodate 5 people. We were a party of 4. Separate toilet & large shower with excellent water pressure. Accommodation was pristine with no complaints. Although Accommodation had a sink with cupboards and fridge there were no cooking facilities other than a kettle. We visited during a heatwave temperatures 35 degrees and only window in our accommodation could not open so had to leave door open until room cooled sufficiently. Lots of midges due to woodland site. We were informed on arrival cooking was only permitted in main building with communal kitchen which had dining room and lounge area where only TV on site available. TV reception wasn't very good so our youngest family member was a little disappointed. However due to rural location it should be expected. WiFi was only available in main lounge area. Despite the few negative comments we enjoyed the experience but probably would consider alternative accommodation should we visit the area again. Gillian & staff were lovely and took time to chat and bed linen & towels were very clean as was the living accommodation. We saw several people arrive/leave so this accommodation could possibly suit many and price was reasonable. Perhaps if more detail provided before booking no surprises on arrival.

Comfortable lodge with beautiful surroundings. You’re in the middle of nature and are welcomed by the nicest owner. Nice place to stay, and includes a well-equipped kitchen.
Nothing.

There was a kettle and cups in the room but actual tea and coffee were in the shared kitchen which was a walk away. There wasn't a lot of room for eating or drinking in the room but we managed and to be fair there is tables and chairs in the shared area so maybe we wouldve been better going there but were tired and just wanting to be in the room. We got a Chinese from a place a short drive or maybe a 30 mins walk away. The host was really friendly and it was a lovely quiet space. Very central. All in all it was a comfortable place for us to spend a night before onwards travel.
There is a hell of a hill on the way to the property with gravel that slips under your tyres. It is possible to tackle especially if you try to keep in 2nd gear as much as possible but something to be aware of

there was some space for children to play safely
a cabinet is absolutely necessary to put clothes, hangers in the bathroom to hang a towel or a cosmetic bag

Located right on the great glen way, it was a welcome sight to see the lodges as I made my way down the hill towards Drum. Lovely friendly welcome upon arrival and a great location. I ended up staying a second night so I could rest my legs a bit before continuing on the trail.

Very dated property with a musty smell. Was clean and had everything you would need. I should add that it was very cheap to stay for the evening. so price reflected what you got. I did sleep well though. Not going to suit someone that likes their comforts and high standards but ok for an overnight if needed.
Smell of room- musty ( needs a total update from 80s decor)

Lovely country location near Loch Ness.
Spacious rooms for 6 people.
Unfortunately had trouble with blocked shower and toilet. Was new system, so possibly from previous tenants. Was Easter so had to muddle through.

Warm
Rust microwave, rude staff, no fire bowl as stated. No ventilation as window doesn’t open and no extractor fan in toilet. Neglected site, surroundings and sheds. Unfinished kitchen as cupboards did not have shelves.

Handy location. Easy communication with the host. Lovely setting and perfect for those walking or biking the great glen way. Plenty of hot water and a strong shower.
We stayed in one of the lodges, although clean it felt quite basic and could do with a bit of maintenance or upgrading. Shower door was loose and bathroom smelt damp. It was quite expensive for quite basic facilitates. Towels provided but nothing else, it would have been nice to have tea, coffee and soap provided.

A cute little chalet for a small family. The kids loved the bunk beds. A handy stop off on our way to Inverness.
Self catering facilities out of use. Staff showed us to chalet but not much more info given. Dogs running around and had to watch out for poop on the grass and path up to the chalet. Road up to Clunebeg very steep and gravel which car struggled to grip. Pics of chalets outdated and not as is.

The proprietors were very friendly and accommodating and I must make a special mention to Jonathan the owners son who picked me up when i struggled to get transport to the lodge he was such a nice guy and although I felt awful putting him out he was very warm and put me at ease even explaining about the nice walks in the area. I couldn't recommend Clunebeg Lodge highly enough ❤️
Couldn't find a fault at the property but the public transport was a bit bad but the welcoming experience at Clunebeg Lodge more than made up for it.

Located close to Inverness and great room size
There place was not the cleanest (stains found on different surfaces) and it smelled very old and on the verge of mouldy. Getting there is quite difficult: there is only gravel on the road and very steep slopes. There was a very loud family at 4am and their kids played the piano and tried to get into our room. While it.may seem very cheap, I payed the same amount of money for way better accommodations around Scotland

The little cottage was perfect for my family and had everything we needed in our kitchen to cook. The price was perfect as this was a last minute booking and considering other spots in the area were much more pricier.
The path leading to the cottages could do with a little improvement when it's wet but we were fine but can see it being an issue for others. Might be a nag but would've been nice to have a TV in the bedroom as the kids slept in the room with the TV but not a big deal, lived with it.

Beautiful location and base for exploring the Loch
Great value for a no frills stay overnight
No working TV in room. Lovely old four poster bed but an uncomfortable mattress
