Ideal base for touring the Isles, east/west coasts and the north. Sitting beside the owner’s home on a working croft, home to sheep, horses and poultry, close to the road leading to the village of Drumnadrochit beside Loch Ness. Inverness, 12 miles, provides city attractions and visitors can enjoy Urquhart Castle on the shore of Loch Ness with cruises, dolphin spotting trips and cycling, with a visit to Culloden Battlefield, Glen Affric and the Great Glen Cycle Way. Second time staying here and it really is a “home from home”. Lovely and peaceful away from fireworks for our border collie who is terrified of them. Our son loved the chickens! Veronica left milk, eggs and biscuits which was so kind. Just a cosy wee cottage surrounded by Autumn colours with everything our family needed. Thank you!

A lovely large country house with all possible amenities and a very kind hostess. We arrived at two in the morning and the house greeted us with lit lanterns near the front door, which was very touching.

Host was lovely, but we didnt realise it was on a main road which gets pretty busy with locals so not great for walking places from the property. Beautiful locations nearby though.
