Filled the need for a last minute reasonably priced stay in the area.
WiFi good.
Was very glad to find the hot water bottles for the bedroom and blankets on the sofa in the living room.
Comfy enough bed.
The bedrooms were freezing. We informed the owners we would be arriving late evening. They said to us they would put the heating on before arrival. Unfortunately only the radiator in the living room was switched on. Which meant the bedrooms, bathroom and kitchen were FREEZING. We travel with a nightlight thermometer for our son and the bunk room was showing 13 degrees c. Also the bunk room radiator took a very long time to heat up. We couldn't put our son to bed until the room had heated which meant a very late night for him. Luckily I found 3 hot water bottles in a drawer so used these to heat up the stone cold beds.
I would like to add that we came fully prepared for very cold weather and are accustomed to it.
The property is a bit rough around the edges and cleaning wasn't really up to standard. Hairs in the beds and on pillows as well as in the shower and on the shower screen. Everything felt a bit tired and grubby.
Hot water for the sinks was also very hit and miss. Only a short burst of hot before turning cold. We had to boil kettles to do the washing up.
Would really befit from having a plug socket close to a mirror for hair drying.
Slippers are a must for this property as the laminate floors do not warm up at all.
