Loved staying here. It was the perfect ending to the day after venturing out to several different locations.Beautiful scenery and plenty of peace and quiet. If you are planning on staying near Inverness, I would highly recommend this place!

The property is spacious and beautiful. The views are spectacular. The location is perfect for exploring the area and close enough to town in both directions to give you options for wating, shopping, and getting out. Local trails come near to the street the house is on making it easy to explore. We loved our stay.

Family home with all the necessary amenities. Plenty of room for everyone. The views from the conservatory are to die for, uninterrupted views of Loch Ness. The main sitting area with its panelled walls and open fire offers a cosy warm and feels very ‘Scottish’. The kitchen and utility room are large and have everything you need for your stay. Bedroom downstairs was very roomy, however the downstairs shower room has a high step into shower and we found it too high for my elderly mother. The owner is looking into redesigning this, to make it more user friendly. The two rooms upstairs are large and I must confess we moved the bed in our room to see the views when we woke up, rather than facing wardrobes. Plenty of wardrobes and drawers for clothes in both bedrooms. Bathroom is large, with a large bath and walk in shower. Garden front and back is large enough for for children and dogs to safely play as it is gated. Overall the home is perfect for visiting other areas. A car is essential here and in Inverness there are plenty of supermarkets. The owner is very prompt at replying to any problems. We noted in the conservatory three windows had blown spoiling the view, but I sent him a message and he thanked me and said he would get someone over. In fact I feel that unless to inform owners good or bad; things cannot be changed. You certainly cannot say this is not good value because it is. It’s warm, welcoming and homely. I would highly recommend it.

We absolutely loved our week at Mor Carraig! We came to Scotland on holiday and this was the perfect home base for our adventures. The view was so lovely from the conservatory. We spent a lot of time in there, playing card games, sharing meals. The property managers were a pleasure to communicate with. The kitchen was well appointed. We would happily return anytime. Make sure to check out the trails just up the road. Dores Beach was stunning and would be a great spot for having lunch al fresco.

The house was fantastic; we really enjoyed staying here. It was great to light a fire and play card games in the living room while it was freezing cold and snowing outside. The view was awesome. We had a little trouble finding the place in the dark, with signs covered in snow. Maps sent us a couple houses down, but it was a fantastic place to stay.

My husband and I decided to go to Scotland for our 10th anniversary, and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience. I have heavy Scottish heritage through my maternal line, and have always felt drawn. Turns out even picking this place was a draw... There is a crest above the fireplace that said "MacDonald of Clanranald", which would have been started by the brother of my Glengarry line. It was meant to be!
The views from Mor Carraig are awe-inspiring. We had incredible weather and loved the sunrises. We visited a lot of different places all over the Highlands. Being US travelers that are used to driving everywhere... It's a great jumping off point. The roads can be a little scary though.
Mor Carraig itself was great. We enjoyed sitting in the conservatory, and the living room was very comfortable in the evening. The cooking supplies could use a refresh (pans, cooking utensils, pizza cutter), but otherwise the kitchen worked great. Something to note is that one of the pictures shows a dryer in the utility room, but it's not on the description and it's not there. That's my bad for not looking at the description closer... But just make sure you are prepared to hang your clothes! There's racks for that purpose, and we made use of the conservatory to help speed it up as well.
We would most definitely stay again! Thank you so much!

My second visit to Mor Carraig with friends and family, cannot say enough about this property.
10.0 / 10.0
So homely, easy to relax here and whatever the weather there is always plenty to do. Walks are easy to access from the door, dolphins up the road, castles, waterfalls, fossil beach on the Black Isle and always reading or games in the conservatory. Inverness itself is so convenient but you feel as if you’re fully in the countryside. Our second holiday here and hopefully not our last.

We had the perfect family Highland holiday in Mor Carraig with our young son (1yo) and his grandparents (70s). The property is as described and the photos do not do the viewing justice. The owner was quick to respond to queries we had during the holiday. We are already trying to plan when we can return for another holiday there!

Lovely house, great views of Loch Ness and easy to get to local shops and Inverness. Only downside was the sofa and lounge chairs in the conservatory which need a good clean as they were quite dirty.

We loved our stay at Mor Carraig! Wonderful period house with bags of character. The view of Loch Ness from the sun room is unmatched. Very prompt and friendly responses from the manager when we needed him. Would definitely stay again.

The house is set in a private but not secluded position with excellent views over loch Ness towards the mountains. The conservatory might get a bit cold, it was the middle of winter after all, but the main house is cosy and warm with plenty of fuel for the open fire if you care to use it. The kitchen is well appointed and the utility room set out so washing cloths is easy. All in all, an excellent place to stay and recharge. Both the owner and property manager were easy to reach for the few issues that came up and things went very smoothly.

Our stay was exactly what we needed..tranquility, beauty and comfort!
The cottage was perfect in every way, a cozy retreat away from the hustle of the city and close enough to be convenient.
Comfortable beds and bedrooms, a nicely appointed kitchen and utility room, 2 bathrooms and a cozy living room and conservatory with awesome views makes this home 5 stars and then some!
Thank you for letting us stay, we hope to be back someday soon.

We love this cottage. Tucked away up a private road, it's really quiet. You can spend time just watching the changing scenery over Loch Ness and the deers and the rabbits playing in the garden. It is so relaxing.

We had a fantastic stay.
The views are stunning. The property is clean and cosy. Our Dog loved the garden.
There are great walks from the front door.
Would recommend this property. Feels very remote but is only 15mins from the centre of Inverness.

The property is lovely clean and cosy, the situation of the property is stunning surrounded by fields, trees and overlooking Loch Ness. We woke up to seeing deer in the back garden, absolutely beautiful place and ideal as near enough for going and exploring areas near by. Would highly recommend and would love to stay again.

It is such a shame that the owner had no pride in this property. It is a lovely place in an unrivalled position. Sadly when we arrived the place was dirty, the curtain in the bedroom was hanging off the rail, the bedding is old and lumpy. These are all thing easily put right if you have the desire to do so.

Our family entered the property, and I’ve not heard so many “oohs and aahs” from them as we went through the rooms!
Clearly this was one of our favourite stays in our month in Scotland.
No hesitation recommending this as a home base for the Inverness region.

Communication was very poor and there was no attention by anyone upon arrival or departure . The house was not very clean, many dishes had to be washed again, there was dust accumulated in many areas
