Riverside Budapest - FREE PARKING

We stayed one night in this two-storey apartment in Budapest with our family. Overall we were happy with the place itself and would still give it solid marks for what it is. The apartment is genuinely spacious, has a large balcony, and — best of all — two bathrooms. With three kids that alone is already a small victory. The view from the balcony is perfectly fine if you enjoy looking at streets, cars and neighbouring buildings. Nothing postcard-worthy, but honest and functional. There is a small kitchen (useful), the place was clean enough for a short stay, and there is a little grocery shop nearby, which was convenient. The host was fine — no complaints there at all. Five stars for the apartment and the host.

The bathroom sink had a crack. And one of the shower panels was mysteriously missing, so every time someone took a shower the water decided to make a personal visit to the toilet. It was like a free water feature we didn’t order. We adapted, of course, but it added a certain “adventure tourism” flavour to the evening. The real issue is the location. It is simply too far from the centre and the main sights for a tourist stay. Walking takes almost an hour. The tram is about 25 minutes, which is doable… until you discover that you cannot pay by card. Only cash. And they don’t accept euros. Luckily I managed to negotiate with the controller and paid in dollars (individually and expensively), so at least we stayed on the right side of the law. Still, not the most relaxing start to the day. Would I stay here again? No. Would I recommend it to other tourists who want to be close to the action? Also no. But the apartment itself is spacious, has two bathrooms, and the host did nothing wrong. For a one-night practical stop it worked. Just be prepared for a long commute, missing towels, a cracked sink, and a shower that likes to share water with the toilet. Five stars for the apartment and the host.

Duże przestronne mieszkanie z dużym tarasem, blisko Dunaju. Wygodne łóżka, cicha okolica. Parking podziemny z windą.

Brak działającego światła w łazience na pietrze - działała tylko lampka nad lustrem, przydałoby się lekkie odświeżenie ścian w salonie.

Casa grande, accogliente. Bel terrazzo, cucina e frigo all'avanguardia.
