Quiet, clean and comfortable

A really nice place to stay if you are visiting Edinburgh. The acccommodation is clean and comfortable and Jamal is a very good and helpful host. The room is equipped with a fridge, microwave, toaster and enough crockery and utensils to prepare some basic food. There is a well stocked supermarket nearby for provisions. Whilst it is some way out from the city centre, there is a good bus service (even all night) from a stop nearby which can get you to or from Princes St in about 20-30 minutes. There is even a direct bus service to the airport from nearby. The internet connection is fast (>100Mbps). Overall a great choice of place if you don't need to be in the thick of the action and prefer a quiet neighbourhood.

Cosy and vague for money.

Nice and cosy. Amazing shower. Helpful host. Only half an hour bus ride from the city centre. If we ever come back to Edinburgh we’ll try and stay here again.

My daughter and I would love to go back to Scotland and stay at this location again.

We were met with a friendly welcome and they followed it up the next day by asking if they could make anything better. We really felt safe and comfortable at this place. The bus service was close and we found it easy to use. Actually we were given information about the bus schedules that helped us find the place easily from the airport and after coming and going into the city. It really was appreciated. Yes we would book there again. In fact we were sorry we hadn't stayed there the last night in Scotland.

We were happy with our experience there. I am 85 and enjoyed the walking and quiet street at this location. Some one who was used to transportation at their door and larger rooms would find it lacking.

Edinburgh stay.

Room was lovely and clean, there was lots of teas and coffee for you to use, plenty of complementary toiletries as well. Lovely powerful shower. Bed was a little uncomfortable, as it's a sofa bed but the owners provide a mattress topper to help with this.

As your in the middle of a housing estate, your not within walking distance to the centre, but there are frequent regular buses that only take 20 minutes or so to get there. Because of this I do feel the cost is a little high.

Great stay, great transport links, would recommend and would stay again

Clean, self contained and had everything you needed, including little touches like shower gel and shampoo, tea, coffee, sugar, bin bags, fridge , great shower. Great transport links. 5 minute walk to bus stop, buses every few minutes into and out of city, super easy. Lovely area

A minor point but it was very warm so could do with some a/c, felt like the whole property was on a slope

Small space in a quiet neighbourhood, just a few minutes from the city. Comfy and equipped with basic utensils.

The hosts were super friendly and attentive and the place was comfy

The only problem was the wifi connection, as it was a bit weak and not very suitable for people that need to attend video meetings.

Great little place for a few day’s stay

Helen & Jamal’s room, although small, was very comfortable and immaculately clean. The couch converted to a double bed but it was very easy to convert and very comfortable. The location was very quiet and an easy bus ride to the city. The bus stop being just a 5 min walk away. A grocery store was again a 5 min walk away. Jamal was friendly and accommodating. Would recommend.

Fantastic place, cozy and comfy with everything you need!!

This wee place had everything we needed! A particularly comfortable large sofa bed, sizeable and clean bathroom, hairdryer, kitchenette (including toaster, microwave, mini fridge, kettle, kitchenware) and was very clean. Even had hot water bottles, not needed during summer but very thoughtful. 2 bus lines take you straight into the heart of the city, about a 20min ride but worth it!! We met Helen and Jamal on arrival by chance, very welcoming and hospitable, keen to ensure our needs were met. Even had a folder with some how-to’s (the door locks a little differently than we were used to, so this was helpful!) bus routes and suggestions. Can’t recommend this place enough!

Really nice stay!

The host Jamal was really nice and answered all of our questions. The room had everything that you could need. There is a bus stop 5minutes away and you need 30min by Bus to geht to the city center. The room was really tidy and clean. All in all it was a good experience. And there was free parking directly in the street in front of the house.

The bed. is a converted sofa, that is obviusly not that comofortable in comparison to a bed. But if you are Fine with that, than everything is good.

Pleasant and ideal for a short stay.

Lovely quiet location on the outskirts of Edinburgh with easy access to buses close by for the City Centre Accommodation is obviously a converted domestic garage, which is nicely done out and well finished throughout. Small and cosy, it is plenty comfortable for a few-night stay. The sofa bed is quick and easy to make up and is very comfortable. Fridge and microwave oven is a pleasing addition, as is the provision of cutlery, bowls, and plates for creating your own breakfast, snack meals etc

Not so easy to fill the kettle as it won't fit under the tap in the bathroom. We used a cup to fill it. Television can be a little confusing for us less familiar with modern tech as it's a streaming service rather than terrestrial channels, so you need to log in through BBC i iPlayer or ITV X to get to a live TV channel. ( We personally would prefer a normal TV aerial related freeview TV service).

L'alloggio è molto pulito e consente di muoversi in totale autonomia. Si trova in un quartiere molto tranquillo e in pochi passi si raggiungono la fermata del bus (con cui si raggiunge il centro in mezz'ora), locali e supermercati. Una nota di merito va alla premura dei proprietari.

Siamo arrivati nella struttura per l'ultima tappa del nostro viaggio, avevamo bisogno di un appoggio per i bagagli e dormire solo poche ore perché avevamo l'uber alle 3.00 del mattino...abbiamo preso il 18 dall'aeroporto (ci ha impiegato un'eternità faceva tutte le fermate delle scuole) arrivati alla nostra fermata abbiamo percorso circa 5 minuti a piedi e siamo arrivati in questo quartiere molto carino e silenziosissimo, devo dire che avevo basse aspettative, ma mi sbagliavo il divano letto era veramente comodo complice anche il topper che fungeva da materasso, bagno pulito e con tutto il necessario dallo shampoo agli assorbenti, (forse un po freddo) c'era anche un angolo colazione ben fornito un frigo e una stufetta (utilissima) e nell'armadio abbiamo trovato anche delle borse dell'acqua calda che abbiamo utilizzato . Dal centro all'appartamento in auto dista veramente poco e una 20ina di minuti per arrivare all'aeroporto.

L'unica tenda oscurante che non funzionava quella sulla porta...un gatto faceva scattare la fotocellula della luce che illuminava la stanza a giorno a parte questo nulla da dire

Eenvoudige locatie met goede prijs/kwaliteit

Hygiene was goed Rustige locatie. Makkelijk parkeren.

Laken met vlekken vonden we niet goed. Maar hygiene was verder goed. Bed en kussen vonden wij ‘vreselijk’, maar dat is uiteraard persoonlijk. Ontbijttafeltje met stoelen is wel erg minimaal..

Muito boa! Recomendo e retornaria

Estava tudo impecável em termos de limpeza e exatamente como mas fotos. Muito bem organizado. O anfitrião extremamente solícito e acessível. O bairro é lindo e tranquilo. O local é equipado com microondas, frigobar e chaleira elétrica, com pratos, talheres, xícaras e copos para uso, além de temperos, açúcar, sachês de cafés e chás como cortesia. Tem um ponto de ônibus bem próximo a casa.

Tem que pedir para o anfitrião ligar o aquecedor do banheiro, o que diminui parte da nossa autonomia no local, pois ele pode desligar quando achar necessário.

Un petit appartement très bien aménagé et facile d’accès en venant du centre d’Edimbourg. Tout est très propre et fonctionnel. Il y a un micro onde, un frigo , une télé et wifi , une salle de bain ainsi qu’un confortable divan lit . Nous avons passé un agréable moment! Je recommande ! 5/5 ⭐️
