It is not a place we would choose to return to.
The only good thing was that parking was easily available.
About ten minutes after completing the booking, I received a message from the host saying that I had paid the wrong price. To avoid any inconvenience for either party, she offered to move the guest to a smaller room. I agreed, as she assured me that the smaller room would still be comfortable. The guest arrived at the property around 7 pm, and the host mentioned that there were some noisy guests. She asked if he would prefer a room further away (likely a third option for us). He agreed, and she went to prepare that room, which was not ready at the time. Since then, he had reported several discomforts during his stay. It is not a place we would choose to return to.

Perfect, I will be back
I was there for the ACDC concert at Murrayfield and sightseeing, staying outside of the city gave me some peace as The Fringe and the Tattoo were on and it was insanely busy The cottage was a bus ride away and you scan see the mountains - a bonus was that the Roslyn chapel was a short bus ride south Grey Friars bobby and the kirkyard are a must and the pound museum was great and free, you can have a photo with your hand on £1.000.000 in £20 notes Best place to eat on a budget was Wetherspoon's, top tip eat early and well in the morning I managed to get photos of Brian Johnson and Angus young leaving their hotel on the way to my train home
I had a perfect stay, my host was lovely

Perfect for me and I will be back again but for longer to explore this bit of Scotland
Your host Kam is lovely, very helpful, keeps the property spotless and is warm, you will be back to this property again I squeezed in a lot of walking and sightseeing before and after ACDC at Murrayfield Stadium the last gig of their world tour and the following day saw Brian Johnson and Angus Young leaving The Balmoral Hotel with a few thousand fans I will be back for a walking holiday as the countryside is stunning Thank you for everything Kam xx
It was a perfect stay, nothing could have been done to make it better

Short stay with child
The lady who owns the house was very friendly, she went to a lot of effort to make us feel at home, including making us dinner. Access to the garden, which was beautiful, was a bonus.
The bedroom was small and the mattress didn't fit the bedframe making the room feel smaller. No private bathroom. Limited breakfast options.

A lovely host but not an adequate b&b
The reason any positive feedback for this property is due to the lovely and friendly demeanour of the host.
As I stay all over the country for work, I usually check in late and leave very early. I rarely consider the breakfast so can’t comment on this one, however my booking said it included breakfast which I was adamantly told this would be as a token for compensation of the poor situation. I was told on arrival that the host didn’t actually have a room but a guest bed for me. This was located in the kitchen, a communal space and although she tried to tell other guests of the situation, I was repeatedly interrupted whilst sleeping throughout the night. I felt incredibly vulnerable and uncomfortable and though her intentions were good, it is just not acceptable for a paying guest (solo female) to be put in that position. It’s very much a small home of a lovely lady suitable for maybe backpackers, this is not an adequate environment for guests expecting a b&b experience.

Good for money in Edinburgh. Not for people want privacy.
Really charming place to stay at. The most comfortable bed I have slept in. Peaceful area, and garden. Extra bedding has been provided. Smoking was permitted in the garden. We had a lovely herbal tea at arrival from the garden made by our host. The other guests seemed to be well regulated and behaved despite the cottage was a bit crowded. Bus to town centre was available. We misunderstood that shuttle might have been provided to the airport, but bus goes there hourly.
The “genius “ breakfast that was included in the booking was a bit of surprise. The cereal provided was disappointing for me. We learned that we would have had more to eat if we paid for that, and woke up later than 7:30am, and didn’t leave the house early (like we did at 9ish.) The self service - we had been told a day before- at breakfast was uncomfortable because the host was watching me during my breakfast. We were supervised during our bathroom time also, that I wasn’t used to. I felt our privacy was a bit of compromised, and the guests were over regulated. But that might have been necessary due to the number of people shared the cottage.
