Shangri-La Youran Valley Inn

Feeling like going back to my hometown...warm welcome from the owner...nice lady and her husband...friendly and love their little naughty and playful kitten! Location near to the old town...super easy! Service 5 stars...including pick-up and sent us to the railway station!

Everything is good!

The hosts at this guest house went above and beyond to make my stay so lovely. They helped me organise day trips and hikes that suited my interests, were always ready to answer questions, gave me lifts to the bus station when needed and provided delicious breakfasts. The room and the bed were very comfortable - the best sleep I had in all this trip. The location was perfect - close enough to the old town but not overwhelmed by the noise or hustle and bustle. And the little kitten 'September' was adorable! I cannot recommend this guesthouse highly enough. Thank you to Luna and family for a wonderful stay!

Loved it all.

The host was really nice with us. He offered some moon cake for the mid autumn festival and brought us for free at the railroad station.

The wifi was not good enough for the homeschooling of the girl (less than 1MB/s). The breakfast was average and we preferred to get around. The place is a bit old and the room have vis-à-vis.

Unfortunately didn’t want to write this review but I do think it’s fair that potential guests know. We discovered bed bugs in our bedroom in this hotel, we have heard it is common in the ancient town especially when the building is older. I will say that the staff were very kind and gave us a full refund and helped us with what we needed, which we appreciate. I hope that their cleanliness standards will be raised because otherwise it would be a great property!
