The property is in a great location. Rural and peaceful. It’s within easy reach of the beautiful North Devon coastline. The listing was accurate regarding the property being old and quirky, but it’s full of charm and character. It was larger than expected. We would definitely recommend the property with just minor points to note.
Dogs are not allowed upstairs and the garden isn’t secure. Dogs have to be on a lead due to host’s dogs and a cat. Something to be mindful of if you want a fully dog friendly stay. Even though the property is old, minor items could still be updated for guests. The cutlery and all the utensils/pans really need replacing and the property could benefit from a microwave. Furthermore, the bedding is very tired/ill fitting and requires replacing. The mattresses were not comfortable for us, but that’s personal taste.

Beautiful cosy cottage with the ultimate peace and quiet atmosphere we were looking for. Everything was well thought out and it was a comfy stay.
