The Location of this accommodation was perfect! We travelled as a family of 7 adults and this place gave us enough beds and space. It does have a lot of stairs. The first and second set are standard Japanese style stairs, the third set to the top floor are on an angle similar to a ladder... very steep and difficult to carry large luggage up. We managed, but small children or older persons may struggle. During our stay the large refrigerator pictured in the kitchen was not working, the hosts did provide a small bar fridge, but this was difficult as it was hot and we had a lot of drinks (not sure if this has been fixed yet?). The shower on the upper level can only be used if no one is present in the kitchen - lols! The bedrooms were a decent size, especially the one with the lounge. The platform bed uses a futon, so it might not suit persons with a sore back, etc. The rest of the rooms have elevated beds with varying sized mattresses. It was nice having a toilet on each level and the main bathroom was large and suitable for bigger groups. We booked this accommodation for its easy walk to two train stations and Sunshine City. It was absolutely central to everything in Ikebukuro!

The small refrigerator and the lack of basic supplies such as trash bags, toilet paper and washing machine liquid. Minor complaints, but for a family of 7 staying for over a week, they needed to be supplied.

This accommodation is a fantastic choice for a group or family stay. The location is highly convenient, with a convenience store and a car rental service just in front of the property, and the Sunshine shopping mall less than 10 minutes away. The walk to Ikebukuro Station takes about 15 minutes, passing through lively and safe shopping and tourist areas. We were a group of 7 adults and 2 children, and everyone was pleased with the spacious bedrooms, which provided enough room to open our luggage comfortably. The shared area on the 4th floor allowed us to spend quality time together. The property is a 4-story building, and the accommodations are located on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th floors. The self-check-in process was smooth and hassle-free. The facilities in the house were comprehensive, clean, and in excellent condition. Cooking meals was a breeze, as the kitchen was well-equipped. There were ample restrooms on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th floors, and the large shower room with bath tub and laundry area on the 2nd floor were very convenient. Additionally, the 4th floor had a smaller shower room and a dryer. The host provided excellent service, promptly answering our questions and offering helpful advice throughout our stay. We had a wonderful time and would definitely consider staying here again!

The steep stairs might not be ideal for elderly guests. However, this was something we were aware of when booking and is understandable given the house's limited space.
