There was an issue with the lifts a couple of times which was a bit inconvenient. But these things happen

Location was good as it was away from the hustle and bustle of Istanbul central. Very nice welcoming coffee and teas and lovely shampoos's and bath products in the bathroom.

Bathroom drawers did not stay closed in all bathrooms so one bumps your leg into the drawer all the time.

The location is excellent, close to the center, you practically cross an avenue and you arrive in the center of Taksim. Parking, a facility that is hard to find in Istanbul, here you have it in the basement of the building in a large guarded parking lot. The building is very well built, earthquake resistant. Omer is a special man, a 10 for his hospitality and the professionalism he demonstrated.

The furniture has reached the stage of disrepair, the bed in the room was practically in 2 waters as an inclination, the table in the living room is disintegrating, the air conditioner drips water from it, the apartment needs complete renovation of the furniture. The cleaning is not very well done, but it is not such a big problem that it can be solved, the sofa should be dry cleaned because there are stains on it. The electricity drops very often, I did not understand what the problem is, but it is not that disturbing.

The apartment felt spacious, shower and toilets worked well, blackout curtains and well soundproofed. Security guard always present outside entrance. Plenty hot water, good lift in building.

Door to building was always propped open so we didn't need to use our card to get in ever. The listing said 2 bathrooms in the king suite but only one ensuite and extra toilet. The sliding bathroom door was broken and stuck fully open which was very inconvenient. The host knew this but said they hadn't had time to fix it and didn't mention it to us in checking either. The sofa bed was a big large sofa, but not actually a sofa bed. You were expected to pull a sheet and duvet over the sofa cushions. It was comfortable though. The light in the toilet could not be turned off. Mattress in master bedroom was very firm and uncomfortable. Several bits of furniture had doors that couldn't shut properly or broken shelves. Only hand soap and small amount shower gel provided, no shampoo. No tea towel and only 2 mugs when booked for 3 people. Finally whilst the building looked nice, and was close to taksim square and main shopping area, the area was not very nice. It was on a very busy road and close to red light area. When exploring the city we found many other neighbourhoods that felt much nicer.
