Owners were very accommodating and available on the phone if needed. Cottage was lovely and cosy.

We did enjoy our stay, the location is perfect.
Location of the cottage is perfect. The cottage was nice and clean, lovely kitchen the coffee machine is a nice touch (instructions would be nice). Bedding and towels were higher end and nice. Loved the chairs and cushions. Plenty of cereal choices and milk too. Laundry facilities were great and having detergent available is a really good .
Layout didn’t flow. No tv in the bedroom and no information left out with WiFi passwords, signal is really poor in Chester so WiFi is needed. Bathroom is dated and shower isn’t powerful at all, the property is cold. A welcome pack with key information would improve some aspects. Severe lack of mirrors in the bedroom nowhere to do your hair (our visit was for the races) the sofa is in need of cleaning (cream) and isn’t very comfortable to relax on. Metal staircase is very awkward and uncomfortable. Suitcase remained downstairs.

Wouldn’t have said ‘breakfast included’ - as only enough croissants for one day and cereal although breakfast, isn’t as shown on the pictures daily.

Sleepers Cottages a lovely Central
place to stay when visiting Chester
The house was very central, we could walk into town and easy to get to Chester Races.
Kitchen facilities were amazing, there is everything you need and breakfast was provided cereal, cereal bars and frozen pastries in the freezer. Tea, coffee and a coffee machine also available.
Plenty of towels along with shampoo, conditioner and shower gel in the bathroom. Attention to detail on the decor of the house and kitchen made it feel very homely.
The house quite warm and we couldn't open the windows. Air conditioning and fans were provided but was still quite warm during the night.

Nice location just outside the city walls.

The shower was broken - when we got past the "chat bot" the problem was quickly fixed.
The freezer was very dirty with old frozen food mixed with ice. We did not use it.
Contact with the administrator is via WhatsApp - impressive fast response. Until we found out it was just a chat bot :-(

Relaxing, comfortable (mostly!) and great location.
Cosy, very clean, great location and well-equipped.
The shower was dangerous - particularly disappointing as this had been highlighted in previous reviews. Going from very cold to VERY hot - unhelpful and disappointing for adults but dangerous for children. Also, we paid for extra bed linen, however, the extra duvet cover wasn’t available - we highlighted it on our first night in the property and were told someone would be in touch, we still haven’t heard from anyone.

A very pleasant stay and an ideal base to explore Chester.
Location was excellent, a 10 minute walk into the city, with good access from major routes.
Coffee, milk and juice provided, plus a selection of cereals etc for breakfast which was appreciated.

Not a criticism, but for info, access to the bedroom areas was via a tight, iron spiral staircase which would be difficult for anyone with mobility issues.

Nice property great location just needs a bit of attention.
Great location, the cottage has everything you need for self catering, such as utensils, toiletries and cleaning products.
Two weeks before our visit we were informed that the cottage we had booked was currently in use that weekend due to circumstances beyond their control. I fully understood this and agreed to move into another cottage as it was the same layout etc. It was stated that a refund of 10%of nightly fees and a bottle of fizz would be provided for the inconvenience.
The check in times were contradictory, one lot of information said 3pm, another said 4pm.
We arrived at the cottage after 4pm and I had to message them for the pin code to gain access for the keys, albeit the info said the code would be text an hour prior, which I did not receive.
After waiting 20 mins outside for the code, I eventually got into the cottage which was tidy.
However, as time went on I noticed little things, the sofa wasn't comfortable at all, misshaped with sunken seat cushions, so I don't know what it would be like as a sofa bed.
Luckily there was a single chair and a table with chairs we could sit at.
The rug in the front room was stained and dirty and had seen better days.
To the left of the front door there was a lot of garden rubbish piled up, leaves, twigs etc which looked very untidy.
I feel that these things let the property down somewhat, especially for the price paid.
The hot sink tap in the bathroom on the when turned on, moves around, which made us wary to use and we ended up using the bath taps instead to wash our face and brush our teeth.
On the plus side, The bedroom was lovely, albeit no wardrobe to hang clothes, but plenty of storage to fold clothes in, and a dressing table.
I emailed the couple to say there was no fizz at the property as promised and was given an apology and asked for my bank details (which I provided) so they could reimburse me for a bottle of fizz.
No mention of the 10% nightly fees for moving into a different cottage as originally stated.

Gute Lage. Fenster konnte man nicht öffnen. Duschen war ein Spiel mit dem Feuer
Die Innenraum Ausstattung war schön. Die Lage sehr gut. Nachts war es ruhig.
So gut wie alle Fenster konnte man nicht öffnen (sie wurden zu gemalt). Nur 1 kleines oben konnte man 10 cm auf Kipp öffnen. Dementsprechend war die Wohnung die ganze Zeit Stickig und sehr warm. Wir mussten die Haustür öffnen um Luft in die Wohnung zu bekommen. Aber nachts ging das natürlich nicht.
Die Temperatur der Dusche konnte man in Theorie regulieren, aber obwohl es auf kalt eingestellt war. Hat es jede 1-2 min von verbrennend heiß zu kalt geswichted obwohl man nichts verändert hat.
