Within walking distance to Chester restaurants and shops. everything you need in the property. Very clean.
Noise from pub after 12 (although it was Saturday night) and car was covered in sap and dirt in car park after 2 days, putting this down to some wind and rain? Avoid parking under trees!

Fantastic location, a very short walk to the city centre and a lot of great restaurants and pubs on the doorstep.
In spite of this we found it pretty quiet overnight even over the weekend.
The property itself is well maintained, attractively styled and well equipped. Comfortable beds and living area with nothing to fault. The pool table was a big hit with all of the family too!

Number 42 was a fantastic base to explore Chester from. A short walk over bridge into the city centre and a wealth of shops and cafes on the same street to help with everyday needs. The house itself was very clean and modern, with everything you could want or need for a home away from home. I personally liked the seating in the court yard at the back, which made for a relaxing space to have a glass of wine or coffee at any time of the day. My adult sons (and husband) loved the pool table, which was definitely a winning feature for us. The owner Tom was great with communication and I felt there had been a lot of thought gone into making the house a great and very comfortable place to stay.
As the house is on quite a busy street there was a little bit of noise at times, from the pub beer garden close by and from traffic, such as busses close to the lounge window. Nothing that detracted from staying at the property or too late at night to be a problem but something to be aware of if you get easily irritated/distracted by noise. As we were staying during the height of the hot summer I suspect the beer garden noise might just reflect the weather and people making the most of it!
