Availability of rooms at lower rates, and clean. Coffee from the vending machine near the reception is quite good, at a reasonable rate.
No space to move around and feel a bit claustrophobic. Also the shiny wallpaper makes it feel worse i think.

1) easy to get to via tram
2) clean facilities: comfortable bed, clean toilets -- enough for a night's stay
1) walls are really thin -- you can hearing the plumbing of the toilet from surrounding rooms, door slamming as people enter in and out and also people talking next door. just very overwhelming and i woke up multiple times throughout the night. even if guests were quiet, you can't shy away from the plumbing noises.
2) highly recommend ear plugs or just play a white noise video to get you through the night

The location, the view from the hotel room, and last but not the least, the staff was extremely polite and helpful. Zac and Johnny were the go to persons when I needed help with any information, guidance, anything. Johnny even helped me with the routes and drew the map for me with pointing out to the fun destinations . Everything was what I expected. Thank you to the staff at diamond capsule hotel.Keep it up.The check in and check out was super smooth. The place is better than they show in the pictures.
Everything was perfect

Facility
Sound insulation was not satisfied. I always hear the main door open/close and sound from the next room quite clear.

Was very clean, well maintained and secure.
It is a metro+tram ride away from Amsterdam Centraal, and around a 20 minute tram from all the museums etc. Definitely too far out if you’re not willing to use public transport, but it was a very regular service from the nearby tram stop and very easy to use.
Took earplugs based on reviews about the noise. They weren’t needed, it wasn’t any noisier than any other hotel i’ve stayed at. The rooms aren’t soundproof, but other guests are respectful of this and are quiet after 10pm.
The shower didn’t drain very well, had to stand sweeping the water down the drain or it left the bathroom flooded

I did not mind the room size at all. I stayed in London last week, and that room was only 1 sqm bigger, NOT a capsule hotel and three times the price... the nook for luggage under the bed is great. The bed was very comfortable and the staff incredibly nice. The room was clean enough; it was dusty, a bit worn and spotty in places, but not to a point where I felt uncomfortable (there was something left behind from a previous inhabitant in the luggage space, which is definitely a place that hadn't been cleaned in a while). I personally liked the location. Yes, the ruined houses next door aren't exactly pretty, but I (a single travelling woman) never felt unsafe at all, and you can reach the tram really quickly. The free parking space was awesome! The self check-in/check-out is a big time saver. There WAS a window, as my listing had suggested (I had trouble imagining where it could be from the pictures on here; it was between the door and table; it was about 30cm wide and floor to ceiling). While the window is small, I recommend booking a room with one, I think it makes a world of difference. Getting up to the top bunk wasn't as difficult as other reviewers made it out; it's just a simple bunk bed, guys. The wifi was flawless and fast. They only clean your room on request, which I approve of.
For the life of me I could not get the heater to work reliably, so I always woke up to a chilly room (which was my single biggest issue with the room). You have to climb down to adjust it back to heating (as it will switch to cooling randomly). There is no shelving or nook by the top bunk to put down your glasses or sth. There are outlets in the room, but none are over a raised surface, the main ones are behind the area where you are supposed to hang your coats; unless your cords are long enough you'll have issues. The window is very slim, so a reliable method to keep the curtain open would be good. The window is only that small because it is actually boarded up; the option to slide back a bit of the wood would be great. The spotlight above the bed is very bright and literally in your face. A towel hook in the bathroom would help make use of the space. They looove their diamond motif, but it isn't always pracital; f.e. the comfort of the chair suffered because of it and the space above the toilet needed to be used as extra shelving (as the actual shelf held the towel, with no towel hook present); however, that surface was made in a 3D diamond structure design, so if you wanted to place something with a small surface area on it, like a toothbrush or deodorant, it would just fall over. It's all a bunch of tiny design decisions like this that just made me scratch my head. Yes, the doors closest to you will be heard VERY loudly, no earplugs would safe you from jolting awake once your neighbours head to breakfast. Their was a self service area in front of the rooms, but during my stay, I never actually saw any items in it.

Rooms tiny and like a prison cell

Decent room, some vending machines including drinks and snacks. Coffee and ramen available as well
Air conditioning was not working properly, auto shut off every 30 minutes. Very inconvenient sleeping at night because of this

Quiet neighborhood and affordable price. Place decorations are great and the hotel concept is innovative.
Kind of far from public transport. We went for the upper bed but the ladder was uncomfortable.

Nothing
The property was nothing like advertised on the pictures on booking.com. The rooms were filthy and disgusting, it felt more like a prison cell than a hotel room. We checked out less than 30 minutes after checking in and paid for somewhere else to stay

My first time travelling alone and staying away from friends. It was a perfect place for me to stay, rooms are small (it is a capsule so what do you expect?) but thats all you need! i am 6ft 3in/192cm and there was no height issues. A bed, a shower and a little desk to sit at, it is ideal if you're planning to be active during the day! The hotel is contact free but the staff are also friendly. The location is nice, next to a campus with some fun activities and restaurants around the area.
Unless your are renting vehicle the transport there can be tricky upon arrival to the country i recommend the 9292 app to help you get around but its fairly simple after the first trip. Its roughly a 5-10 minute walk to the nearest tramline.
The walls in your room seem very thin so bring some earplugs/buds if youre a light sleeper (the hotel also recommends this)

Large bathroom, excellent breakfast in a beautiful restaurant, very friendly staff, convenient machines for water, coffee, snacks.
Quiet, green location.
One of the rails was missing at my upper bed, it was a bit harder to climb.
The rental bikes seemed a bit expensive (13 eur for 3 hours or 18 for the day).

The staff is very friendly, the breakfast is very good, and the room for one for a few nights is fine. I had to stay a few hours after my checkout, and they have a very comfortable place to wait.
The bathroom is flooded after the shower because the water doesn't drain completely and there is no mop in the room to help it drain.

The room was clean and large enough. You are a long way from the centre but Amstelveen is pretty, and convenient if you want to see some countryside.
The wall are a little thin, so you hear your neighbours clearly. The direct sourroundings are somewhat lugubrious, with a derelect building next door. It didn't feel dangerous just unsightly.

Cosy capsule room, comfortable bed, easy to find way around the hotel. Was just a short walk to tram station into Amsterdam.
Can't complain other than would have been nice for some hooks to hang up towels to dry.

Me and my friend stayed here for 2 nights, on request we asked for a room with a window that was accommodated straight away. The reception staff were lovely and friendly, I loved that the downstairs toilets had big mirrors and plug sockets so as we were waiting to check in I curled my hair. The rooms were clean and more spacious than I thought, there was no WiFi card, kettle or any facilities in the room but it wasn’t a problem. The higher beds are very difficult to get up and down from and very high which I didn’t like so next time I will get a lower beds. The hotel is next to an abandoned building which was a bit scary but it didn’t matter, the location is quite far out but there is a supermarket 15 minutes from it. Overall it was very good value for money as I think we only paid a couple of hundred, it’s a budget hotel and I would recommend for tourists who are on a budget. Thanks guys!

Nothing is wrong with the hotel

It had almost everything you needed.
It could have had some more snacks or some alcoholic drinks for sale but apart from that it was really good value for money and really clean and the beds were super comfy
The beds being up high is like risking your life when you need the loo in the middle of the night and apart from falling a few times we were good

Check-in was quick.
The walls are so thin that I could hear when the guests in the room next door were talking, taking a shower, opening or closing the door of their room, etc. I could not go to sleep until past midnight due to the noises. Then I was awoken at 5:30 by someone in the room next door having a shower and could not go back to sleep. So I hardly slept that night.

The price was cheap, the staff was nice and polite, there were plenty of parking slots and the modernized check in method was fast/easy to do. The beds were very comfy, the shower was okay and the space is kind of enough to be honest.
It was not clean as the comments on booking are saying. Terrible smell during the night, coming from the showers. Very dry inside. Very loud outside and in other capsules, people came at night and we could hear everything. The location is pretty far from the center, making the price not that cheap since you have to pay for transport and with that money you can add and get a better hotel more close to the city center. Did not have time to complain to the staff since I was in a rush. Check my pics for the dirty spots near the bed.

Everything was brand new and very clean. It was the first days of opening in a "soft-opening" mode. Friendly and helpful staff. We rented bikes directly from the hotel and the bikes were very good.
They had some food in the entrance of the hotel (together with the coffee machine, water and juices), that were free to take. This breakfast was not exactly working, as we did not had tables. trays, or proper space to eat, but they were finishing the bar/cafeteria and I believe this will get a lot better in the next weeks. There weren't any towels in one of the rooms, but the staff arranged them promptly when we asked for it.
