Ann & Brendan were exceptional hosts, it felt like meeting old friends. Ropewalk Cottage is exactly as described, located in the heart of Portaferry. The extra delights such as scones, fresh water, milk and chocolate were very welcome. We can't wait to return.

We could not find fault with anything. Although compact, you have everything you need and are very comfortable.

The location was excellent and within easy walking distance of the town and ferry port. Beautiful decor and lovely flowers all around the exterior.

This cottage is the loveliest and most comfortable of spaces. It is a studio but is so well laid out that it feels bigger than it is. It has been decorated with such attention to detail and with everything considered, there is absolutely nothing you would need to bring. Breakfast and freshly baked items supplied also. It makes for the most relaxing of little getaways. The garden around the cottage is stunning. Location is perfect, 5 mins from the shops/ferry. We went as foot passengers over to strangford to have dinner out. It was only £5 return for two of us. We met Anne & Brendan and they were the loveliest of people. We would highly recommend this place to others. You won't be disappointed.
